I got some of that back when I was doing a lot of computer repairs. Every time a machine I'd worked on hicupped I'd get a panicked call.

Actually if it works like the last two, the husband will get to keep the advance then when we do the wife’s return in 2021 she will get it refunded with her tax filing. Hell of a deal. You wouldn’t believe how many parents and kids double dipped on the last two stimulus rounds.
We have people holding up efiling their 2020 return until they get the checks because their 2020 income is too high and would disqualify them.
I had a high income married couple that got an extra $900 filing separately instead of married jointly. You can’t make up this stuff. Perfect example of how screwed up our government is.

That's why I retired early from IT. Freaking 3 AM calls from India from their techies who can't figure it out. It caused a lot of health problems from sleep interruption.
Early retirement probably saved my life. I probably took my job way too seriously. However, for one of my clients, Coors, I had to make sure the beer kept flowing!
