Trump doesn’t have an MBA from Wharton

Goat has this annoying habit of being self assured about things he has no knowledge. Somehow I don’t believe he’s hanging out with a lot of people who are blathering about going to “Kelly”.

He’s out of his element here, just as Diamond Balls is.
Hoops, you're so old the people you hang around that went to Kelley don't even know that it's now called Kelley.

Hahahaha! One of my clients was one of the original people at Magnetar on DAY 1, you moron. And a second one started there a month later. They came to ME on the day they started their own hedge fund whose largest investor is Goldman Sachs (could you get a job at Goldman? Nope). Glenview isn't even a hedge fund, idiot. It's a fund of funds. I also introduced Citigroup, when it was called Citibank Global Asset Management to Cerberus (you may have heard of them? Hint: they once owned Chrysler). Do YOU know Bill Richter? NAH. You don't. Do you know James Simons from Rennaisance? I do, you don't. Do you know Jim Hodge who financed the new business school building YOU attended? Because I do.

YOU'RE the joke.

I don't know a single placement agent who has single handedly raised over $3.5 billion, besides Arki Busson (who I also know personally). And I guarantee I will make 10 times what you will this year when I haven't lifted a finger in years.

Oh, by the way...I got a new car last month. It probably cost more than your house.
The most Trump-like post on the WC.

I am thinking of Kelley's Heroes now.

The GOAT

My wife went to B-School at IU and she never says that. Almost all my friends from college are undergraduatee B-school graduates. Not a single one says they went to Kelly. That''s nonsense.
So I guess I’m an idiot too. Ok I’ll tell people laboriously that I went to Indiana U for undergrad business school and ______ for my MBA.

Lol. Anyone that has to try this hard is a nobody and a wannabe. Let us guess, you make so much money, you just prefer to live next to the L and Metra.

Can you hear the trains all night or do you just get used to the rumbling?

Every B-school graduate I know says they went to Kelley. Even if it wasn't called Kelley when they were there.

I'm going to hate myself later for weighing in on this, but here goes.

I started my undergrad at Kelley. Half way through my junior year, I needed to move back home to NE Indiana. A few years later I finished my business degree at IPFW after jumping through a hundred hoops. When people see my degree from Indiana University they ask if I went to Kelley. I promptly tell them I graduated from IPFW. So I'd say that the majority of people in business in Indiana know the significance of Kelley's undergrad program.

These are his grades as a president so far.

Trump Is Intelligent, But Not Fit Or Level-Headed, U.S. Voters Tell Quinnipiac University National Poll; First Year Was 'Disaster,' 'Chaotic,' 'Successful'
https://poll.qu.edu/national/release-detail?ReleaseID=2511

Grading President Trump's first year in office:
39 percent of voters give him an "F," while 17 percent give him a "D." Trump gets an "A" from 16 percent of voters, a "B" from another 16 percent and a "C" from 11 percent of voters, the independent Quinnipiac University Poll finds.

Seems like a lot of people in this thread. You’re not required to post. Besides that, you went to Purdue, who doesn’t even have an undergrad business school.

Wait, what? You're joking, right? Yes, it is called the Krannert School of Management, but your're not suggesting it isn't an undergrad business school, right? Krannert is also ranked #5 in Production/Operation Management, #6 in Quantitative Analysis and #10 in Supply Chain Management/Logistics among undergraduate business programs by USNWR.

Oh, and guess what CNBC ranks as the #1 undergraduate business school in the U.S.?
That's right, the "Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania" - not the "University of Pennsylvania." https://www.cnbc.com/2017/12/06/the-10-best-undergraduate-business-programs.html

I think the mistake that @DrHoops is making is that, in his circles of financial services professionals, “business school” almost always implies masters level schooling and undergrad is meaningless.

I hear the M&A people talk like this at work too.

Yes, but Purdue's Krannert School of Management is consistently ranked very high among MBA programs (although technically thy award MS degrees rather than MBAs). In fact, I believe that Krannert is in the top-10 for several fields (e.g., logistics).

There is a significant difference between the MS in Finance or Ops than an MBA. Most MS programs are shorter.

I have no doubt Donald has sexually harassed or potentially assaulted some women by legal definition. But using a porno actress goes nowhere promoting your opinion.

So, you don't think that paying hush money to a porn actress after having sex with her while his wife was pregnant is indicative of the accuracy of zeke's opinion of President Trump? Zeke is often over the top, but the last two days of stories pretty much hit the nail on the head of the character of the guy.

I was mistaken. Purdue’s Krannert School does now have a full MBA program rather than MS only. Not sure why I thought otherwise.

I have no idea what that is supposed to mean, but I never suggested that Krannert was a “destination MBA” program. I was merely pointing out that it is a quality program—both undergrad and MBA/MS.

I'm just telling you, in my experience, everyone says "Kelley." No one says "B-school."
I would also tell you that every student I know that gets a direct admit to IUB, they say they have a "direct admit to Kelley" I have probably heard a dozen kids in the last 2-3 years refer to that, and they use that quote precisely

Truth is, I couldn't possibly care less. I didn't realize Wharton was part of UPenn until this thread. If most people associate Wharton with MBAs, and Trump is okay with that wrong assumption about him, fine, whatever. Just one more thing about Trump that's shady, I guess, but it honestly doesn't even register on my outrage-o-meter.

Haha....there are precisely 2 posters on this board, both "hair on fire" Trump haters, that I have often thought of the similarity in Trump, and the exact nature in which they post. They are the biggest name callers, exaggerating, mean spirited people on here. You got one of them, and I am pretty sure most everyone knows the other. My favorite quote of theirs was that I was a racists because of who I voted for. Sounds exactly like something Trump would say.
