When Trump fires Wray it will be interesting to see if the new Director can get the records or if the records are destroyed. Maybe the new AG can some folks in the FBI to prosecute.
Of course not, but I like letting the courts decide criminal acts. If there’s evidence of criminality, a jury will decide that one way or another. I suppose “lawfare” is in the eyes of the beholder.
Not really what we’re talking about, but I’ve always been disgusted by prosecutors who go forward with a prosecution after learning the person they charged couldn’t have committed the crime. Prosecutors that only care about winning, even if they know they’re trying to convict an innocent man.

I don't think the FBI decides that. It's DOJ. He recommended no charges be filed.

The fact it didn't work doesn't change the fact that this was a class A coverup by the DoJ for the sole purpose of beating Trump.
Trump faces charges for possessing classified documents while Clinton is let go after destroying classified documents in her possesion. Trump's case isn't nearly as serious as Clinton willfully destroying classified documents.
His public statement damaged her. He was supposed to just quietly close the case and say nothing. Instead he basically publicly said that she was wrong and irresponsible, but not quite bad enough to justify charging her with a crime. In fact, about a week after he made the announcement, Trump began closing the gap in the polls. Within two weeks, they were virtually tied. Some of that was a convention bump for Trump, but the gap began narrowing several days before the convention began.
You are unbelievably stupid. Every email with classified information in them on HRC’s server was recovered. All 11 of them. It was negligence. Trump had 300 and he deliberately took them and illegally tried to keep them. You are a total hypocrite and a liar.
You're letting him move the goalposts. The question at hand was why Comey made the announcement and not someone else at Justice. The answer was that the DOJ doesn't make announcements like that, and Comey shouldn't have, either, but he unilaterally went out on his own and did it.
