We didn’t have smart phones to take pictures of our lives during my younger years. I often regret that, especially during my IU years. At the same time I’m grateful that there are no pictures of me during some parts of those years. I included some version of this when teaching and training future Navy and Marine officers at Ohio State. They needed to know that any displays of poor behavior and bad judgment could be recorded (likely be recorded, as some unfortunately learned the hard way) and be available for viewing forever these days.
Bullshit, I say to her. The basic problem here, as far as I can untangle it, is that (physically) grown men do things to women that they know the women would say "No" to if they asked first. That's not the same as mutual or youthful exploration in which both are playing around. So the problem boils down to communication and the problem the man has is he's afraid to communicate openly so he goes covert with the intent of getting away with something. There is no trivial intent. Intent is intent.
