President Trump Nominated For Nobel Peace Prize

If this the award can be done by on-line voting he might win like he had earlier when he and Cohen orchestrated cheating on a CNBC poll for 'most influential businessmen' by having one of Cohen's friends purchase IP addresses so votes for Trump would look like they were coming from different people. Without cheating, Trump was #187. After cheating, Trump became #9. Trump went around showing people the results and gloating that he was a 'ground breaking' businessman. He also stiffed the company that purchased the IP addresses for him. Unfortunately for Trump CNBC could see the poll had been hacked and removed him from the final results and right on cue Trump threatened to sue.

Oh I forgot to mention Trump then refused to pay the guy that had purchased the IP addresses for him.

Has the award ever been won by an otherwise scoundrel who accomplished a singular good thing? I honestly don't know.

This same guy nominated him before. Wonder what Trump has on him?

Mike Murphy is a long time republican campaign manager normally laughs at Trump's dumbassity but was legitimately pissed at the reports that he has bankrupted his campaign already...while siphoning campaign donations to his families private interests.

Murph said that a campaign gets a lot of white letter donations, where an elderly person will write a letter with $100 saying how they are going to skip their months medicine because they believe in the campaign and want to help.

Trump has treated his campaign as a ponzi scheme, racked up a tremendous amount of debt, used it to pay off personal private interest bills and basically bankrupted the RNC.

Everything you just posted was a lie, there was no personal gain by Trump or his family!

He deserves more than any other president!
It will be interesting to see how a lot of people will feel about his receiving this nomination when Bob Woodward’s book ‘Rage’ comes out. Excerpts have already come out that doesn’t really put Trump in a good light.

Yea, just like he isn't funneling government visitors to his hotels and making money off of that or charging his entourage every time he golfs at his own resorts.

You're going to need to raise your donations as he doesn't have money to run much TV ads in battleground states now (Biden's ad buys are 4 to 1 to Trump's)....but his campaign manager gave himself a personal driver this summer. Lol

You got played.

He is being nominated by Christian Tybring-Gjedde, a Conservative Norwegian who wants small government, once compared the hijab to Klu Klux Klan robes and wants Norway to have nothing to do with the EU.

So basically a Norwegian version of Trump. 🙄

My choice among the four presidents who got the award is Jimmy Carter who won it as a private citizen after leaving the Oval Office.

Jimmy found he could contribute to his fellow man outside of elective office.

Carter has had an interesting career as when he left office he had lower approval ratings than Trump, he barely was re-nominated over Teddy Kennedy for the dem candidates as an incumbent and he had his national convention gaffe of calling Hubert Humphrey Horatio Hornblower, which made him look like an idiot.

But due to his incredible post office career of charity (obviously being the founder of habitat for humanity) he's beloved and seen as elegant, regal and graceful.

Probably earmarking the cash to try and settle with the irs when he’s out of office

Carter has the biggest gap between

"good things done as President" and
"good things done AFTER being President"

Both because the first was so little and the second has been so great.

hold on...

the nomination was in black sharpie

Trump’s Nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize Was Apparently Forged. Twice.

Holy chit. Thats nuts. But also completely predictable.

Has Trump ever done anything legitimately? Besides bankrupt businesses?

This is actually a perfect representation of the Trump phenomenon. On the surface it may appear impressive (on the very first glance), but once you get past the facade, it’s all complete BS & fake.

Yet, some on this board continue to buy the BS. It blows my mind.

In keeping with the absurdity of some idiot nominating Trump, some idiot within Team Trump must have asked Donald how to spell Nobel. Do they think "Nobel" is supposed to be some sort of adjective???

  • "The Trump campaign released an ad that incorrectly spelled the "Nobel" Peace Prize as "Noble" to celebrate his second nomination.
  • A far-right Norweigan lawmaker again put forth President Donald Trump's name for the prestigious award, citing his role in normalizing ties between the United Arab Emirates and Israel.
  • Anyone can be nominated for the prize and hundreds are submitted every year.
  • Visit Business Insider's homepage for more stories.
The Facebook ad shows a smiling Trump with the text overlay: "President Donald Trump was nominated for the Noble Peace Prize," and a caption: "President Trump achieved PEACE in the MIDDLE EAST!"

The 2021 nomination came earlier this week from a far-right Norwegian lawmaker, who praised Trump's role in fostering negotiations between Israel and the United Arab Emirates last month."

Astute observers will recall that "Nobel" was also misspelled as "Noble" on a Trump twitter rant earlier this year. Hmmm...

The tell that Lucy is a parody - accidentally spelled the name of the prize correctly. 😂
