GOP lawmakers override veto of unemployment benefits measure
Republican lawmakers on Monday swept aside Democratic Gov. Andy Beshear’s veto of a measure revamping rules for Kentucky’s laid-off workers to receive unemployment benefits.

I still cant believe Kentucky is now a GOP state that can override a Gubernatorial veto.
Before Reagan, Kentucky had had 1 GOP governor since the Civil War. The GOP could get a Federal rep or senator from the 5th District, but the rest of the state was solid Democrat - 6:1 in some counties.
McConnell rode Reagan to the Senate in 84. Reagan and abortion put Bunning in the House in 87 and the Senate in 98.
The tide was turning.
In 2000, the GOP took control of the Kentucky Senate for the first time.
Corruption ran Democrat Governor Paul Patton out of office and gave the GOP another Governor in 2004
By 2012, Democrat gerry-mandering couldnt even keep Happy Chandler’s grandson in office!
In 2017, the GOP took over Kentucky. Governor, House and Senate.
The mid-terms are coming and the Common Man is gonna yell.
