Trump is now selling Bibles..

You claimed you follow biblical teachings when voting. How does voting for a party that favors killing babies following those teachings?

Biden also sexually assaulted women and sniffs little kids. I didn’t vote for either of them because they’re both unfit to be President, spend too much, and are lying immoral pieces of shit.

I’ll add, I personally vote based on the politicians policies. I would have voted for Vivek who isn’t a Christian. Lastly, if someone was voting in 2016 for Trump based on their biblical teachings, voting for Trump was the right call. It led to the overturning of Roe vs Wade.

WTF does 'biblical teaching' have to do with Roe or abortion?

Ask swman. He brought it up.

As for abortion/Roe and morality. I personally understand why a Christian, Hindu, or atheist would vote for Trump (GOP) if abortion is their most important issue. It’s not for me or I would have voted for Trump.

Sorry, but it appears Trump's Bible is the Lee Greenwood translation according to this:

Here's an excerpt:

"The text includes the U.S. Constitution, Bill of Rights, Declaration of Independence, Pledge of Allegiance, and the lyrics to the chorus to Greenwood’s “God Bless The USA.” Critics saw it as a symbol of Christian nationalism, a right-wing movement that believes the U.S. was founded as a Christian nation."
I saw a hilarious TIK TOK reading from the Donald Bible. Then I came back from the dead. You should have seen the crowd. Biggest crowd ever. Greatest resurrection anyone has ever seen. And Mary came up to me with tears in her eyes and said, Sir….
Well you get the point.

He does it because he’s an idiot and there are a lot of MAGA dupes who are not very smart. And Colbert is ok but Jordan Klepper on Comedy Central is great at showing what idiot hilljacks many of his rally attendees are. It’s a hilarious watch. Expand your viewing habits if you want to laugh every day. He just did a new one about the Baltimore bridge collapse. Right wing tv commentators are suggesting a conspiracy is afoot. Can’t make this stuff up. Trump and the right wing media propagandists sow fear but have no policy’s for making Americans lives better.
I saw that Fox was immedi trying to tie bridge collapse to the border. Lol

It looks like you brought up abortion. Definitely no biblical teachings on the subject. Not mentioned in the Bible other than how an unfaithful wife should go about having one.

Better than selling Kirby's.

IYKYK.
I tried that as well, and Fuller brush too. I was really bad at both. But not quite as bad as Jim...

Closest I ever got to someone just opening the door and welcoming me in was the time I knocked on this apartment in Greensboro on a lazy Sat morning. I didn't have to even go into my spiel, this guy opens the door and says "come on in we've been waiting for you." I thought to myself "wow that was easy"...

He then ushers me into a bedroom where this guy and girl are still in bed. They look at me with this WTF look, and then I hear something like "who the hell is this"? The guy who opened the door says "it's so and so," which of course the couple replies "no it's not"...

Ever the salesman I reply "I'm the book man, wanna buy a Bible"? Of course they had no interest, but were friendly enough and offered to get me high. And of course since it was Sat and I hated knocking on doors hawking Bibles I said yes

.So I hung out for a couple hours and I have no idea what the rest of the day was like. Actually the partying was not an isolated incident, as Greensboro was full of colleges and college kids interested in partying...

Well, maybe someone came close though:

In this day and age, he’d probably have millions of votes.

Yeah...the whole lot of far-right media is coming up with all sorts of conspiracy theories. Anything to distract from the fact that the Biden administration is acting quickly and will have the bridge rebuilt in a relatively short time span.

I saw that Alex Jones - who I assumed was - and probably should be - broke and penniless after his Sandy Hook defamation trail said it was the start of WW3.

What a bunch of dolts.

That’s true of some. But there are many affluent parents who aren’t concerned about finances who still support Trump

Trump appointed judges that overturned Roe vs Wade and will save countless babies. Hillary wouldn’t have done that.
No it won’t. It will also kill some mothers. It just did recently. A woman died of sepsis because she could not abort a child that was not viable. Women are still finding ways to have abortions, no matter how difficult the morons try to make it. There is a whole Underground Railroad helping fund and transport.

I already answered that question. It’s the 6th commandment. Thou shall not kill.

And yet It doesn't offer an opinion on whether or not abortion qualifies as murder given birth hasn't happened yet.

And if twenty's post #168 is accurate, then the bible is at least for some exceptions given abortion is fine for an unfaithful wife. So that would seem to indicate abortion does not equal murder...otherwise there wouldn't be exceptions.

And anyone against all exceptions even when the life of the mother is at risk and viability of the fetus is low can quit pretending to be pro-life.

That is your personal interpretation which is fine (also the Catholic position) but certainly not the historical biblical position, textually. The only scripture on the subject actually defines a significant legal difference between a woman and a fetus.

When the teacher is questioning you on the book you didn't read.

It’s the only rational conclusion if you believe in Christianity in my opinion.

Now allow me to rant. Your fetus comment triggered it 😂 One of the biggest issues I have is how disingenuous the Pro-choice movement is. If they come out and said we are ok with women having the choice to kill babies in the womb, I’d respect it at least for the honesty. I had 3 children and not one f#fking time did doctors/nurses/myself/friends/family or anyone call it a fetus. I found out my wife was pregnant with our 3rd child at 8 weeks. I instantly thought it was a human and a baby. Not one time did I think it’s a f#cking fetus. Always a baby. Weirdly, if was an atheist, I’d be more pro-life because the ignorance of their position would piss me off even more. It’s obvious what everyone’s actions say it is. Ok….rant over.

I don't care if you personally accept scientifically correct terms, or not. That's your own prerogative.

Please paste my post where I said I voted for a Dem. You can’t because it doesn’t exist. I’ve said this before. I left the Republican Party in 2016 based on the criminal they chose as their candidate. You will then assume I voted for Clinton. And again as always you’d be wrong. We didn’t like her either but she was imminently more qualified than Trump. My wife and I voted for Gary Johnson and William Weld a Republican governor. We figured since he took the position to legalize pot he was showing courage in bucking the prevailing sentiment of the Republican Party line. Neither of us have ever tried it but feel it’s much less dangerous than alcohol.

I’ve voted for many Dems in my lifetime as I have for Reps. And I vehemently disagree with some of each party’s policies. We are not supporters of abortion. However, had the right not existed at the time, my wife would have been forced to carry our deceased child to term even though her heart exploded at 5 months. The emotional pain for both of us and especially her would have just been absolutely destructive. So easy to be totally against something until you are faced with the terrible reality we faced. But go ahead and assume some more.

Technically no one is "for abortion" (as in rooting for it). It is for choice when faced with circumstances such as yours where there is no easy choice between 2 terrible options.

I’m referring to the 99% of abortions that kill several 100,000 healthy babies each year. In cases of rape and health of the mother, people should be able to choose to have an abortion.

They just claim that the mental health of the woman is 'the health of the mother'.

They'll come up with any excuse.

The way states are interpreting life and the definition of abortion right now, you are vastly underestimating the frequency of "health of the mother" concerns. Miscarriage is quite common, for example, and a woman's body not successfully "completing" the miscarriage of the nonviable fetus is also quite common. The solution is a D&C or (more recently) medically assisted miscarriage, using the abortion pill as part of the combination therapy. But many states now consider this absolutely necessary care to be an illegal abortion procedure. Women are being forced to travel out of state to complete a procedure that is often essential for their survival.

I'm fine with landing at 20 weeks, or 18 weeks, or 15 weeks, or maybe even a little sooner. But there has to be exceptions for when the fetus is non-viable and when the mother's health is in danger (and not merely already at death's door).

I’m not concerned with it. It’s mostly just leftist fear porn in my opinion. States will figure out. Bama fixed their ridiculous law within a month.

We do know. He and top advisors have made it clear. It'll be revenge, harassment of opponents, denigration of democratic institutions, a further weakening of the rule of law, and chaos for four years.
Don’t forget his kegal argument that he could order Seal Team 6 to assassinate his political opponents or anyone for that matter and not be charged with a crime. So when Trump becomes dictator in chief and let’s hypothetically say you voiced a public criticism of him. He could have you killed with no recourse. Yep I’m all in on that. Sign me up.

if you want to argue abortion is awesome and fun for all, then be my guest.
I think abortion should be illegal. But you saying that it's a terrible option seems to insinuate that there's something inherently wrong with it. I'm just wondering what that is.

Do you feel the same way about back surgery? Setting a broken bone? Or any other "medical procedure"?

Answer the question coward.

Got it. So Joes “little lies” are acceptable but other dishonesty is not.

Thats about what I figured.

Thanks for confirming.

As I said, it’s really really dumb.
I provided numerous examples of the reprehensible things Trump has done that are antithetical to Christianity. I'm not condoning lying, but the things I've referenced are much more egregious than that. I'm talking stealing, cheating, grifting, engaging in fraud and breaking the law. Trump's extensive misconduct is unprecedented in the history of the American presidency. He makes Nixon look like a choir boy.

You're desperately clinging to a false equivalency because that's all you've got.

Politicians lie. Joe does his fair share.

If I’m somehow less of a Christian if I vote for a liar then I’m never gonna be able to vote again.

This whole “you’re not really a Christian if you vote for Trump” stuff is idiotic.

I’m not voting for a pastor. I’m voting for who I feel like best represents my and the nations interests.
It’s not just a liar. It’s someone who makes fun of those with disabilities. It’s someone who bullies and wants revenge. Who makes fun of people’s appearances, calls women fat, ( ironic), wanted to send help to red Covid states, but not blue. Who has swindled people out of money his entire life. Who has not a passionate, empathetic bone in his body and is a flaming narcissist. And finally is dumb as a rock. I feel sorry for anyone who thinks he gives a single shit about anyone but himself. This time he’s running to stay out his of much deserved jail sentence.
