The Terminator

GOP politicians are riding a fine line on how much they can stand up to trump while still getting votes from his base.

They seem to be willing only to condemn Trump's attack on the constitution while leaving open that they might still support him if he is on their ticket. Bunch of sissies making sure they can get re-elected.
Interesting. You condemn Trump for what he says, but Biden violates the Constitution every day, yet you'd still vote for him.

You all voted for someone who never left his basement. You're just as brain-dead as he is.

So a former US president essentially says "Fvck the Constitution," suggests there should be a redo of the 2020 election and/or he should be reinstated, you turn a blind eye to all of it, and Trump's got power over me? Too funny, dude.
Does the orange man still scare you?

Why do you think the national Republican stalwarts won't call it the same? Are they all cowards?
I don't think anyone takes that comment seriously. I don't think even Trump takes it seriously. I think he's making statements like that to stay in the news.

And, based on those kind of statments, I don't think he's seriously running. I think he would like to be kingmaker, but I don't think he's seriously going to run. He has his own reasons.

I thought it was odd Melania was with him during the announcement, while his kids weren't. It wasn't a secret that Melania didn't really like the politics and being used for target practice. I think he's told her he's not really going to run and will bow out at some point.

Just my thoughts. Of course, I could be wrong and he runs and rips the GOP apart. But more statements like that and he'll lose even his most ardent supporters.

And I'd vote for him again over that orange POS who belongs in an orange jumpsuit.

That's quite a delusional narrative you've come up with.

And he'll never lose one of his most ardent supporters/worshipers - - - you. Pathetic.

How do you define "everyone?" Just the people like me who oppose him? Do you think there's any chance that the millions who still worship him - - and possibly constitute enough of a bloc to get him the nomination in 2024 - - will stop talking about him? Of course not.

Sorry, dude. Trump's conduct is beyond the pale. People, particularly those in his own party, need to grow a pair and speak up. Silence is complicity.
I see and hear a few wackos on the right, but exponentially more Dems obsessed with him & needing him to fuel their rage & need to feel morally superior. Let’s do a count of any measure, whether mentions, threads started, whatever you wish on which political group or posters perpetuate his place on this board…loser leaves town. Deal?

Silence is complicity? Complicit with what? How often & in what forums must one speak out to not be complicit? If there are Dems in this board not posting about Trump, are they complicit too? Your obsession is unhealthy & a sign of mental weakness.

Mental weakness is his calling card

No, he’s 100% correct on this. Liberal media amplification of Trump’s buffoonery is 100% to support the Democratic Party.
& emotionally driven little girls lap it up & start threads about it, making stupid statements like silence is complicit.

Irrelevant. Answer the question, if you’re capable.
It was as relevant as your question.

Nothing would happen if we all stopped posting. But you guys trying to bring up shit on liberals is no different than bringing up shit on conservatives. Trump just happens to be shit that keeps on giving.

You trying to tell people to stop talking about Trump is laughable. As aloha would say, you should bring up a liberal to not talk about for every conservative you don't want to talk about.

Or better yet, just skip threads you don't care about. Pretending to be about free speech would be easier

Talk about every conservative you want that is in or running for office. They matter. Not surprised you can’t make the distinction between one’s that matter & the ones that don’t.

Trump is running for office again.

Clueless much?

Even if he wasn't, he is still relevant as long as politicians that are running for office are swayed by his words and actions. Trump has never stopped being active in politics.

You’re as bad as his ardent followers, the flip side of the same coin & will fall for anything.

Not sure why you're struggling with this, but I'll dumb it down spell it out for you. Republicans (and particularly Republican leadership) who remain silent in the face of Trump's ongoing assault on the Constitution and American democracy are complicit.

I'm not a Dem and never have been.

Hilarious that one of the guys who liked your post started the "Trump 2024!" thread, with 2,000 comments and 26,000 views.

You wouldn't last 2 minutes in my world without having to have your crying towel.
You're a big tough guy on an anonymous message board. Wow.

And, trust me. I'm grateful I'm not "in your world" and feel for the people who are.

It's crazy that he thinks people shouldn't talk about a person who has announced that they are running for president in 2024. Not only that but said person has until the midterms maintained a vice like grip on the Republican party to the point where many GOP politicians running for office have asked for his blessing.

But he shouldn't be talked about.

The real reason is he doesn't want liberals or RINOs to talk/post...but they're all about free speech...when it's a conservative that they agree with.

When you're incapable of making a compelling argument and all else fails, you suggest that the other guy's really not a man. Pathetic.

Grow up, dude.

On a side note:
Cons on this board: Everyone should STFU about the guy who was in power as recently as this decade, and who plans to run again. Instead, let’s talk about Carter.
I get it…if I was a Con, I would want everyone to STFU about him, too.

It's crazy that there are still so many who will go to the mat for him. After his "perfect storm" victory in 2016, he's been nothing but a loser. The GOP took a big hit in the 2018 midterms, he personally lost in 2020 and cost Republicans the Senate, almost all of the candidates he endorsed in swing states this year lost and he was likely the biggest impediment to the anticipated "red wave." His business organization was just found guilty of crimes and he's almost certainly going to be indicted in Georgia and/or in the federal system in the first quarter of 2023. But sure. Trump 2024! And yeah - - those of us who oppose him are supposed to shut the fvck up. Fat chance.

"The ex-University of Georgia football great now joins the ranks of other Trump-endorsed casualties: Pennsylvania’s Dr Oz and Doug Mastriano; Arizona’s Kari Lake and Blake Masters; Michigan’s Tudor Dixon. Unfortunately for them, swing-state America yearned for normal.

In hindsight, helping preserve democracy from Trump’s onslaught proved itself to be smart politics. This past May, Kemp, Georgia’s attorney general Chris Carr, and Brad Raffensperger, Trump’s bete noire and Georgia’s secretary of state, all survived primary challenges. Courage can come with an upside."

Wake up, Trump apologists.

Just admit it. You desperately need Donald in your life. Your complicit comments really are stupid in all seriousness.

So, the candidates he backs lose, he loses, yet you need to keep screaming at the top of your lungs about him & see him as a major threat? Moronic obsession …

Are you stupid or something? Of course he's a threat. He remains the most powerful figure in the Republican Party, he's already announced his candidacy for 2024, he has a $93 million campaign war chest, and he's the odds-on favorite to win the nomination. (See below). He'd likely lose (again) in the general election, but he could wreak a lot more havoc in the meantime. All of this, of course, is the result of the continuing obsession with him by countless Republicans and Republican leaders. As long as congressional Republicans without balls continue to prop him up, he's viable.

That's the moronic obsession and the reason why, despite his middle finger to the Constitution and democracy, and his substantial legal exposure, he's still got the inside track.

"The Trump obsession is very bad for Republicans." - Republican Senator Patrick Toomey, 12/7/22.

He lost. The candidates he backed lost. Has the inside track to what, defeat? You need him. The Dems need him. The obsession is bad for you, not just pubs. Countless Republicans? Dumb. You are being manipulated & are mentally weak.

To the nomination, Einstein. In a crowded field he's a virtual lock.

You need to turn off Fox News and read more, from a variety of sources. You'd be much better informed.
Haven’t watched Fox news in years, & have never had it on my tv, not for one minute. You’re re wrong again. Let make a wager on whether Trump is the nominee in ‘24. Loser never returns to the board. Long time off, but the payoff would be sooo worth it.
