This one has to be seen/heard to be believed.

It’s reassuring to know, though, that billionaire Howard Lutnick’s mother-in-law wouldn’t be concerned if her monthly social security check didn’t arrive.

Trump and his billionaire boys are completely out of touch.

Did you listen to the interview? Catch the part where Lutnick went on and on about not restructuring SS in any way? No raise of the eligibility age, not cut to benefits, etc. How we must uphold the bargain of SS?

Or did you just jump post the latest rage bait?

I love that “Billionaire” is a pejorative for so many of you. Lutnick is entirely self-made.

If he’s self-made he’s forgotten where he came from.

And, yes, it’s pejorative when said billionaires do things like put thousands of people out of work and then strut on a stage wielding a chainsaw, or make comments like Lutnick did. His mother-in-law hypothetical is unquestionably one of the dumbest and most tone-deaf comments ever uttered by a cabinet secretary, other than pretty much everything that comes out of RFK Jr’s mouth.

Okay. But other than that very specific example, “billionaire” is not a pejorative right?

We don’t hate people for making money in this country……. I hope.

For those who think America isn't what it used to be, we now have over 900 billionaires with only China coming close with over 500.

If you want to be a self-made billioaire, America is the place.

Think Elon Musk would agree.

Currency inflation account for a lot of that. Billionaire is the new millionaire, we’re all millionaires now to some degree.

When reminding a group that a young person by saving and investing along with compounding interest the person can become a millioaire,

An older gentleman in the audience spoke out by saying, "A million dollars isn't much money".

Later found out the outspoken older gentleman was a retired Methodist minister who late in life married a lady with considerable wealth.

America is great.
