Haven't seen it since the Knight era and Miller has brought it back.
Some of you morons can keep pounding your little drum and playing your violins. It's simply a personality disorder created by pushover pu$$y a$$ parents. I'm sure that's how your mothers gifted you things growing up. Simply give you what you want and wipe the tears from your cute puffy red eyes. Pull you up off the floor from which you are kicking your feet and pounding your fists like the crybaby spoiled punks you are. I want it and I want it now!!
Miller is here to stay boys and girls. Maybe you didn't get the hire you wanted, boo hoo.
Well some of us have been waiting 20 years for the correct hire. We got snubbed with Alford when they fired Davis. Alford had 90 percent of the fans support and was expected and assumed the new coach. The landscape was in shock when it was Sampson. As if the Davis hire wasn't one slap in the face now this bullshit.
Next up Tom Crean. Another slap in the face but at least a step in the right direction.

Bring on Miller. Respected thru out the coaching community as one of the best elite young coaches in the country. he gets his opportunity too. When the dust settles, the heathens that are head hunting will be silenced. How ever a few like fpeaugh will still be calling for his job even if he wins a NC.
Your nothing more then cancers to the program. You will fade away slowly, but surely as we win. Except for fpeaugh, the little boy with the biggest drum and ears that only hear himself. No hope for you my friend. Your just a hater, spoiled little silver spoon eating loud mouth crybaby.

Wow. On the one hand, you may be right. On the other hand, a couple of lucky years at Dayton where everything came together may have been a fluke.

One thing is certain, he will be there next year, so really everything discussed here is moot. I think next year there will be a bottom level performance that gets him fired, and also a basic decent year that gets him another season.

There's NO WAY an identical season next year doesn't end in him losing his job. But I also think just being decent will buy him another one.

I get that it can become agitating seeing so much negativity during what is already an excruciating season.

However, it can't be ignored that we have witnessed history in what should have been the honeymoon phase.
  • Year 1- No IU team had ever lost 2 games by 20 or more in the same season at Assembly Hall. Not only did last years team do it, but they did it vs mid-majors as double digit favorites no less (-13.5 in each). Even more amazing; I looked in a pointspread database on and off for days and never found another college team to have ever pulled off the same feat in one season on their home floor.
  • Year 2- IU is currently on a 1-12 roll of defeats. Put into historical context; Tom Crean's second team finished off the season on a 1-12 streak, and his first team had a 1-13 streak and a 1-21 streak.
  • CBS Sports ranked Langford as the #15 player in college basketball just behind Rui Hachimura and Zion Williamson in the pre-season, with Morgan ranked #31 ranked just ahead De'Andre Hunter and Cody Martin. Regardless of the supporting cast, this team has no business fighting it out with the Kyle Tabor squad in the loss column.
Now Archie may well live up to the hype and then some in the coming years, However, one who views these first 2 seasons as a spectacular failure on the court isn't exactly in need of a straightjacket either.

eh -- last year's team was just the rotting husk of Crean's last IU team, the one that beat KU, got to #3, lost to IPFW, and then got an NIT 3 seed. implosion was in their DNA. i was able to write that off and IU finally defended. to me, that season was just "new staff" stuff.

this year is a whole different deal. big, undeniable red flag. but pretty much every coach not named Izzo or Self has had them. i'm letting this crappy run and what Archie did at Dayton cancel each other out.

i'm sure Archie will find comfort in my decision to suspend disbelief. lol

You mention “textbook basketball” in your subject line and then go on as if to link Archie with that?

If anything, Archie lost the textbook on basketball.

Where is this sale on crack cocaine that you’ve been snorting for days prior to reach this conclusion?
