He apparently liked dogs...which seems to be SUPREMELY IMPORTANT to the loony left and their acolytes..Hitler likely did some kind things for some

Couldn’t give a rat’s patooty about dogs. I care about racist presidential candidates who make up sh!t about legal immigrants eating them. Enjoy your moment in the sun. Oh, I'm enjoying every second of the rout of the progressive failures and the Obama functionaries who have done so much damage to our constitutional republic...Couldn’t give a rat’s patooty about dogs. Great post Tommy. I'm curious as you think (yes, asking your opinion) about the current populist movement, which has both far left and far right followings and agendas, some of which are actually somewhat aligned (e.g., tariffs), what constitutes crossing over from Populism to Fascism?
In other words, I agree with the characterization of Trump and his policies as Populist, but not Fascist. I know he is accused of such behavior by the left, but to me, there are lots of distinctions between Trump and Hitler for now. If you believe he is a Fascist, what were the lines crossed or positions taken that convinced you of such a label? Similarly, if you don't believe he is yet, but has the potential to be, what are things you are looking out for in terms of labeling him as such?
Has everything to do with the American 'worldview'....I think it’s really just a matter of Trump being more aligned with the political beliefs of evangelicals.
You guys gnash your teeth and wail “ERMAGERD HOW CAN TEH EVANGELICALS SUPPORT TRUMP!!!”
It’s about policy. It’s not about Trump the man. That’s where you guys get stuck, in my opinion.
BumpThis post magnifies my criticism of what passes for education in this Constitutional Republic.
Verbatim:
Amendment 1.
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof, or abridging the practice of free speech, or the right of the people to peaceably assemble, or to petition the government for a redress of grievances".
"Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.
-John Adams
(on the Constitution) .."I regard it as the work of the purest Patriots and wisest statesmen who ever existed, aided by the smiles of a beginant Providence...it almost appears a Devine interposition in our behalf".
-Daniel Webster
" I have so much faith in the general government of the world by Providence, that I can hardly conceive a transaction of such momentous importance to the welfare of millions...be suffered to pass without being in some degree influenced, guided, and governed by that omnipotent, omnipresent and benevolent Ruler".
- Benjamin Franklin
Tell us again about this so-called separation..
SMH..
Where there is smoke, theirs fireAppreciate the kind words my neighbor. I don't have strong answers to your question but for my personal beliefs, I think Trump is much more a populous, attention craving narcissist than a strategically, driven fascist that truly believes that the hammer of violence and control needs to be brought down to succeed and thrive as a country.
Now the Maga movement to me seems to be primed to accept potential violence as again to me, the movement believes there are evil people strategically trying to ruin their lives and therefore are getting more comfortable with violence as it signifies strength and discipline that's needed to eliminate the evil beings that are coming after them.
That rhetoric is similar and rhymes with the 1930's fascist movements. Get the populous comfortable with and accepting of violent solutions.
The huge difference for me and what I go to when having this discussion is why are we so pissed off? Again early 30's Germany just got slapped with Versailles, their economy was tanked, their unemployment was insane and throw in the revolution in Russia that just happened.... Germany was primed for a gifted speaking fire cracker that played heavy into national pride and respect. Benito did the same and appealed to the 'we used to rule the world when we had strong, brilliant strong leaders' and Italy loved him and what he represented.
So, repeating myself I don't think Trump himself is a fascist, I'm curious about the Maga movement though but we're not there yet. It's currently just online chatter where I see it.
Muslims and Christians voted for Trump. My question is what makes Kamala Harris desirable to religious people? She told some Christians at one of her rallies, "You're in the wrong place" or something to that affect. Harris is for the trans ideology for instance. Do you really expect Christians to vote for her because of that? Also you have to think about non biblical reasons why people vote such as tax policy and foreign policy.Since evangelical (and what does that term even mean anymore?) Christianity and Trump have become inexplicably woven together, I’m curious how many Trump voters truly read and study the Bible. I’m not being judgmental at all if you don’t. Mine has collected dust for many years at a time through the years. There are great Muslims, great Jews, great atheists, etc… so this is not a proselytizing post. But I’ve read and studied a lot the past few years and I truly don’t see how there is a connection with Trump and Christianity. The words and teachings of Jesus, regardless of what your religious and philosophical thinking in, are in general mostly diametrically opposed to everything Trump says and stands for. I’m sure if anyone answers this will likely turn into a sh!t show like most every other thread, but I’m truly curious and trying to get some clarification so don’t say I don’t try

I had not seen your post until yesterday and was just trying to add perspective. Why now? You won. Enjoy it.
Not welcomed at this point. Your man won. It’s over. Enjoy your 4 years. Christianity is recognized by the fruits. Trump IS a fruit but produces none.I had not seen your post until yesterday and was just trying to add perspective.
I'll enjoy the next four yrs no matter who is in office. For my hope is not in man but in God. Plus, if I am on the right side of the dirt then why shouldn't I enjoy it?Not welcomed at this point.
