How does trying to prevent fraud and cheating turn into trying to stop people from voting at all? Register, vote once and do so on time. Pretty easy.

Doesn’t surprise me at all. You can use a hunting license as ID at the polling location- but not a student ID. And to vote absentee, you have to have some kind of medical excuse or anticipate being out of the state for the entire early voting period.

The Myth of Voter Fraud
Extensive research reveals that fraud is very rare. Yet repeated, false allegations of fraud can make it harder for millions of eligible Americans to participate in elections.
Just remember that there are others that don’t have the same circumstances that you have.
I see both sides doing it for sure. Like Executive Orders are only being abused if the wrong guy is in office. But a true Progressive doesn't believe in absolutes to begin with so obviously it's going to be less of a problem for them to change positions. And then there is the whole end justifies the means thing.
How have they said that? If you're talking about voter suppression, it's well within both party's rights to make sure the process is on the up and up. That has zero to do with challenging results, unless there is an overt act discovered in real time or short order.
Dems are not in court trying to change the rules a day out from election day. If this words it will invalidate hundred of thousands of already casted votes that by polling is around 70% registered dems.

All the other stuff you mentioned are the classic, unverified conspiracy theory hits that you feed to those you are trying to fear (FYI, the dead people voting is a Chicago legend from decades ago. One for the Kennedy election and another from the Daly mayor campaigns).
Matter of fact it was Republicans who were busted putting out fraudulent voting drop off boxes in minority neighborhoods.
It's the pub's Governor in Texas that put into place having just one drop off location per county.
Again if you don't understand the motive here, most minority voters are in dense populated cities. Most mail in voters, per polls, are dem voters. So this law means residents of Houston have to drive hours to the drop off spot and then the one location has to account for millions of early ballots....while a rural Texas County doesn't have the mass of people to account for.
So yeah, you are anti voting and anti military if you commend these shenanigans since so many active duty soldiers originally thought they had to have their votes postmarked by election date, now thanks to you, many of their voices won't count as it is too late to adjust to the changing of the rules by you guys.

High turnout does have me concerned about the polls being off but doomscrolling Twitter has a lot of positive signs for Dems having long lines in areas they need long lines, and some GOP weakness in other areas (Texas, Wisconsin)
But some of that is going to be machine issues, social distancing/COVID protocols so we really need turnout #s instead of anecdotes about the lines stretching a long way.

I think over 70M American could care less about unifying American just like Democrats the last four years.
You know this vision of Democrats hating America is only in your mind. What is actually happening is almost 70M Americans, like yourself, see democrats as the enemy. That is the hatred that has sown this division. That is the hatred that a con man grifter has relied upon.

On the other hand, I think most Democrats saw T.rump as an asshole and a terrible president, and were blown away by the fact that the GOP wouldn't admit it and put him in check...and it's still going on even though he lost the presidency by a mile.
