Is DeSantis the future President-for-Life?

I'm not saying conventional wisdom is still correct, or even that it ever was. I mean, obviously, it looks right now that it will be Trump or DeSantis. But who knows who else will throw their hat in the ring after the midterms?
According to this the hearings may help get rid of Trump so we need to thank the Democrats for helping.

Aside from your juvenile name-calling, I'm thankful every day that Trump is out of power. We'll survive Biden, doubt our democracy would have survived Trump.
Well it did survive Trump, so you're being a drama queen.

Subverting how justice works in America always has the possibility of swaying the mentally weak.

I'm surprised you would praise the hearings at all, considering what a one-sided shit show it is.

Thank you. Welcome to the Radical Center.

I admit i tend to lean to the left from time to time, but I always think for myself and assess every situation with my own thinking.

Hell, I voted for Trump the first go around (one of the few times I've voted Republican in my short time voting for president, I just turned 40). There's no way I could bring myself to vote for Hillary.

I'm not praising and never have praised them. I just think it's kinda funny that the hearings might make Trump less of influence in the R party and in turn might end up helping the Rs. :)

I don't think it's good for Republicans if they turn off over half the Republican Party, who are Trump supporters.

What has the clown show shown so far? That Trump got upset because he couldn't go to the Capitol? That he didn't act to stop the rioting soon enough, even though he told his followers to go peacefully? That he didn't follow the advice of some of his staffers and now they testify "I told you so"?

And all that without any cross-examination?

That's a whole lot of nothing.

I think the only people that affects are those who were easily swayable anyway.

Any way you can foresee voting for her?

Tell me there is some context behind that which makes it less stupid.
The woke pronoun stuff aside I think the suit color would have to be for visually impaired people. But again I don’t know what value that adds for all the horrible virtual signaling negative attention.

It's okay for someone to support Trump (I don't but it's not a problem if you do). What I don't get is supporting him at all cost. I would hope that if he's not the nominee that you would support whoever is nominated. There's a lot of Trump supporters that won't so that gets down to being a cult in my opinion. I think because of all of Trump's baggage another candidate has a better chance of winning.

I have spoken in conferences where I have been asked to state my pronouns before giving a talk. Always struck me as a little weird, but not a big issue either.

I will vote for whoever the Republicans nominate. I may or may not vote for Trump - frankly, I have my doubts he'll run again. But piss off enough Trump supporters because of this show trial and they will stay home, which could easily hand the election to a Democrat.

But my choice won't be influenced by this clown show.

Every election President has some 'cult' that follows them. Bernie certainly has them. Liking a candidate because he happened to be a very good President doesn't mean he's the leader of a cult.

If the Pub nominee is someone like Romney, Liz Cheney, Kizinger, I WILL vote for Pelosi. Or even better, the younger Pelosi, Newsome.

Romney & Kinzinger are nothing like Liz Cheney, one of the most conservative Representatives ever. You are apparently choosing based on Trumpism, not conservatism. Liz Cheney would actually be far RIGHT of Trump. Very pro-life too, if you're into that.

Personally, that's where I would draw the line. They're welcome to their nonsense, but I wouldn't participate in it.
Well, if somebody invites you to give a talk they are usually paying some of your expenses, so they can usually set the rules.

One way to not dwell on it is to put it in writing on the title PowerPoint slide at the bottom and not actually verbalize it.

People draw lines differently. I'd draw mine there.

I'm bad enough of a grammar Nazi when it comes to the proper use of singular/plural pronouns, even though most people think I'm wrong in many ways nowadays. (We had the discussion here.) Giving this new fad any credibility is just too much for me.

So you perpetuate stupidity.

So because someone is paying your expenses you’ll kowtow to their whims even if you disagree with them? I don’t mean that in a spiteful manner - that’s how I interpreted your post.

What if they told you “don’t say X or Y. don’t talk about Z either. It would upset our peoples.”

Slippery slopes are slippery.

I’d say “Hi. my name is John. call me John. i haven’t diagrammed a sentence since high school and I was bad at it then, so I don’t worry about pronouns. You can’t offend me by calling me a pronoun. I like you all. My advice is we all live and let live. On with the show.”

People who worry about pronouns are looking to be offended and to whine and need therapy.

I think cross examination would be fascinating. Republicans cross examining Republican's because republicans are basically the only ones who have testified. I am sure they will want to change their testimony that they gave under oath because the penalties for perjury are only a prison sentence and fine.

I would explain what the clown show has shown so far but based on your comments above you would lack the comprehension to understand.

I don't see it as a huge deal. LOL, "kowtow to their whims".

It's way less inconveniencing than the organizers telling me I have to shrink my already-prepared 40 minute talk into a 25 minute window, or other such accommodations.

As I said, it's a matter of changing my title slide from:

"Title of Talk"
-pretty picture-
"Today's Date"
"My Name and My Title"

to
"Title of Talk"
-pretty picture-
"Today's Date"
"My Name (pronouns he and him) and My Title"

I don't say even one extra word and don't change anything else.

Sorry man. If you’re watching Meidas Touch videos you’re getting insane takes and hyper partisan bullshit. You can at ease with the pretense of being even remotely conservative if Meidas Touch is hitting your feed.
I don't know why they didn't go with "Pubs of Tiktok"

Conservatives don’t like change, by definition. Clearly Liz Cheney started with integrity and just doesn’t want to change that.

That primary would be a bloodbath.
But I want Pence in that primary, too.

Seeing Trump attack traditional, vanilla, milquetoast Pence is another opportunity for Republicans to see what Trump really is.

The Republicans will never accept instruction from Democrats as to what Trump really is.

Hopefully, seeing Trump go postal on both Desantis and Pence will make clear what Trump is truly like.
