Quite an extensive list of made-up stories like the ones discussed here recently. How does your perception of American life "After Trump" compare to reality?

*Click on the tweet for the entire list with links, etc.

Keep in mind these are just the verified hoaxes, who knows how many countless more have gone undiscovered yet are counted among hate crime statistics.

These are people, who stand on the shoulders of Civil rights leaders and Suffragettes and scream racism/ sexism.

They're ungrateful, they're spoiled, and they've never known real racism or suffering in their life.

The hoaxes only distract from an honest assessment of our president and his policies.

Truth and honesty must prevail.

Those numbers are infinitesimal compared to the actual number of hate crimes. Probably similar to numbers of women that falsely accuse men of rape. Yet people pounce on the small number of cases to try to diminish the impact of the true problems.

I believe you believe that.

Only because it is true. We know you are all about "fake news" .... nearly everything your orange imbecile says is basically a lie, so we know for a fact that you will believe anything. I mean you put faith in a serial liar...how do you square that with reality?

Yes, we know. Hate crimes have been rising since 2015.

Thanks Obama.

Would you care for some numbers or would you rather go by your feelings or gut instinct?

They get their information from memes, facebook and entertainment news. Do you really believe you can educate someone when their family, teachers and peers have so obviously failed already.

Actually there is a pretty simple reason for why they started rising under Obama . But as you saw in yesterday’s chart, nothing like the spike under Trump.

I know, I know. It’s just hard to give up on the fact that many people just refuse to be educated on any subject. And sadly, Trump is the prime example of that.

According to the DOJ, there were 7,106 single bias hate crime incidents involving 8,493 victims in 2017.

https://www.justice.gov/hatecrimes/hate-crime-statistics

Of the 6,370 known offenders, 50.7 percent were white, 21.3 percent were black, and 19.1 percent were Race Unknown.

That means that in a country that is 77 percent white, only 50 percent of the hate crimes in 2017 were committed by white people.

It makes the image pushed by liberals of hordes of racist, bigoted, white Trump supporters roaming the country looking for minorities to terrorize look really really dumb. Or dishonest.

Im talking to you, Zeke, who specifically blamed Trump for the rise in hate crimes in this country. Although you’re far from the only one here doing that.

Those numbers do nothing to support your point. You need the 2016 numbers, too.

Statistical analysis is not your forte I see

I seriously wonder who did this. Was it a SJW, a Trumper, antifa, KKK, a democratic socialist, a proud boy, a Hebrew Israelite, a Catholic teen etc? Is it real or a hoax? After Jussie Smollett, who knows what to believe?

The Unconditional Surrender statue in Sarasota, Florida, depicting the iconic image of a sailor kissing a woman in Times Square after the end of World War II, was vandalized on Monday just a day after the veteran in the photo, George Mendonsa, died at age 95.

And just this week in Indiana..
Also keep in mind, many, many altercations aren’t even reported, but we see on social media. Maybe this was happening all along and without social media we didn’t know it, but people calling 911 for Black people grilling out, parking wrong, having a child with them , etc. People getting screamed at for speaking Spanish told to get out of my country. Those aren’t hate crimes, just hateful people.

Yes all seven of them should go for a ride.

Imagine walking around in the year of our lord 2019, and being worried about the KKK and freaking Nazis.
Please tell the woman killed in Charlottesville not to worry.
Imagine going around in the year 2019 being so afraid an immigrant was going to shoot you or take your job that you waste to build a wall all along the southern border.

No, not at all. Many have been recorded.
Isn't it fair to ask why the Twitter feed I linked in my OP isn't national news? Or at least part of the discussion. The reaction here is yawns and eyerolls and yabbutts. Isn't TRUTH the goal? These stories are used to support the position by your side that Trump voters are all racist homohobes. If that's true why is it necessary to perpetrate these hoaxes?

Gary Cohn, Trump’s top economic advisor resigns. Supposedly he wanted to do this after Charlottesville, but tariffs did him in . Seems like every week someone new is gone.

Only he could make a national tragedy like Charlottesville all about him. Only he could rebuke the fake media for misquoting him and then lie about the quote. I swear I will never understand how we got so many ignorant people in this country. And angry... the hate and anger at these rallies.

How about the fact that Antifa would not be needed if there weren't white nationalists around? You honestly think they were a bigger group in Charlottesville than the Nazis and Supremacists?

Charlottesville and Pizzagate can also speak to civility , right?

On a hunch I looked up your use of Charlottesville because you seem to reference it a fair amount. This isn't even all the times you used it, jut from the past few months,

You LOVE Charlottesville. Dozens are murdered each day for all manner of motivation, but this murder is your favorite.

It's your boogeyman and your only slice of evidence all in one. Without it you'd be rightfully looked at as ridiculous for bloviating about Nazi's in 2019. It's still ridiculous, but at least you have that one example.

Well to be fair, that’s the worst day of the Trump presidency by a long shot. He came out with the dumbest press conference of all time and now white supremacists think they have a presidentially endorsed mandate.

So you should probably think less of it as an N=1 and more of a precipice.

As a pretty entitled white guy, it doesn’t surprise me that you aren’t aware of the more hateful environment that has been present since Trump.

I’d bet if you were of Muslim faith, or any type of minority, you’d feel differently.

Step out of your bubble brother. It ain’t all about you and how you experience the world. I’ve seen you post enough to know that you’re basically spoiled as hell, and don’t believe anything bad exists until it happens to you. I recognize the behavior very well- I was a lot like that when I was younger. If I could, I’d go back and smack the chit out of myself for the attitude I had.

So, I guess there’s still hope for you ;). How old are you by the way? I remember you mentioning still being on your parent’s insurance, and basically saying the hell with folks without insurance coverage. That was you, right?

Can't quite figure out why we still talk about KKK anymore. Oh yeah, because the right keeps advocating lynchings and the KKK.
The editor and publisher of a small Alabama newspaper called for the Ku Klux Klan “to night ride again” against tax-raising politicians, prompting a fierce backlash and calls for his resignation.
...
“Time for the Ku Klux Klan to night ride again,” the editorial began, according to the clips posted online. “Democrats in the Republican Party and Democrats are plotting to raise taxes in Alabama.”
...
“We’ll get the hemp ropes out, loop them over a tall limb and hang all of them,” he told a reporter from that publication. Mr. Sutton could not immediately be reached on Tuesday.

It was in fact! Context of that post often gets left out, but I guess that's to be expected from you and the types that enjoy bringing it up as some sort of jab or something?

Fwiw, I was advocating for the removal of Young Adult Coverage and ACA as a whole at the time.

Never mind that though, insured through my employer now if you were interested, which you evidently are.

I've seen enough of your posts that I feel comfortable forming my own conclusions about you.

You pride yourself on the idea that you are well cultured, compassionate, and tolerant of others. You often cite how you live in Texas as if it offers you some sort of credibility around the inner working of Republicans, and shows you can get along with folks of all types.

But all that posturing can't keep you from making the occasional slip up:

Have you ever been around private religious high school kids? I have. They’re the most entitled of the entitled.

Ever spent time in Cincinnati? Some of the most miserable folks I’ve ever been around. Many are @ssholes just for the sake of being @assholes. And, in the KY side, there’s still a LOT of racism still permeating the air.

Oh. It appears you live in a bubble of your own. Step out brother, it all 'aint about how you experience the world.

With me, like with the Covington students you look for the opportunity to cast your opponent off as spoiled or sheltered. Then you don't have to actually engage.

Hack.

Wait wait wait, you mean an editorial in the paper of a town of 2000 in the Deep South said something offensive?

Wow!!!

This changes EVERYTHING!!!

Snore.

The funniest part of that story is that it was covered by the New York Times. LMAO

Also, how in the blue hell does this editorial equal “the right”?

By all means, correct me, sir.
Since Zeke is talking about an increase in hate crimes, a single year snapshot does nothing to counter her argument. You have to look at both the before and after numbers. That's just the most basic mathematical flaw. There are other logical issues you need to work through, too, but none of them matter if you don't first address the trend by referencing at least two data points.

Fair enough. I know from the link Zeke posted several days ago that hate crimes have been rising for three consecutive years, since 2015. Even while overall crime has been falling.

I’m not sure why that matters though, since I wasn’t arguing against that.
