86 Thousand New IRS Field Agents, Why?

Now that you mention it, I don't think I've seen any IRS people here in the trailer park for years and years.
That may be just because the owner's office trailer is located right at the front entrance, away from the tenants, and that's as far as the IRS needed to go to conduct its audit.

Then show evidence that 86,000 new agents exist. This isn't hard to understand, if you aren't in a cult.
The thread title said new not existing, it’s just like your science, it moves. Hell the money is appropriate and that’s what the requirements are that you be able to carrie a far arm!

Yes, we know each other fairly well and you are FB friends with my wife as I don't do social media.

Our sisters were HS friends. You were a grade higher, but we were friends. Not super close, but more than knowing a name. We went to the same church and your parents were clients of mine until they moved. But if IIRC, your mother has passed.

If I knew how to send you a DM on this forum, I would, to let you know who I am.
I wanted to help you out, but when I attempted to duplicate the method I've used previously it no longer works. I guess it's only available to Premie members, which no longer includes me...

In case you qualify, the middle icon (which resembles a text message) in the upper right corner is for conversations. When you click it and then click "show all" it opens your message box. Assuming you are Premium it should present you with some option to initiate a conversation, but right now it doesn't show that option for me. Hope it helps...

Lol it's 86,000 new field agents. It doesn't say they exist. Infer whatever you want. It's certainly not outlandish when you consider 45 billion is earmarked for enforcement.

As for the cult bs it has no relevancy to the topic outside of your paranoia. You should be baker acted

I'm waiting for a topic that you understand. 45 billion for enforcement. What do you think that means? Bond paper so people take their notices more seriously? Good grief

Then show a plan to hire 86,000 new IRS employees. Your "gazpacho ". You can't. It is all fabricated, dreaming about what the money COULD be spent on. A lot of money will be spent to modernize. The IRS is slow in part because they are technologically backward. A lot of agents use 10 year old computers that Microsoft says are not secure and won't be supported.

No stupid. Read the bill. It sets forth how the money is being spent. 45 billion for enforcement. Modernization is set forth elsewhere.

Show the passage in the bill saying 86k new agents will be hired.

It must be right next to the 100K tamed unicorns in the IRS petting zoo.

45 billion for enforcement. what do you think that implies? bond paper? 45 billion divided by 86,000 is roughly $525,000. The average field agent probably makes 50k. now i know far left propaganda shapes your opinions but a modicum of independent thought demonstrates how conceivable it is to add 86,000 agents. what's more it's dems being dems isn't? more gov. expanding the size of an agency sixfold.

Honestly i really don't care. i hate to see people being harassed but if legit revenue is lost due to underreporting i'm fine with it. what i mostly take issue with is the fallacy of who will be targeted

The whole thing is they are spending hundred dollar bills to find singles and it will be a case of power being abused . Again using a police metaphor they have quotas and will find something if they want to write a ticket but they can only find so much for a ticket, the IRS can ruin your whole life to write a $10 ticket

Oh heeellll yeaaah! We absolutely were friends with the choc-ola reference. You've totally doxxed me.

I'm struggling with your clues, I can't make it all work. I'm sure it's obvious and I'm just being a dumbass.

I'm trying to fit dude, class of 89, Presbyterian (we also did stuff at the Methodist church), our sisters were friends (were they close? Christy had a pretty tight wolfpack but none had brothers a year younger than me) and later on worked with my parents (yeah mom passed in 2008. Dad is still around and well living down in Atlanta).

I'm sure you are obvious and I'm going to punch myself when I figure it out or you tell me.

I'll try to dm you so we can take it offline. I've never used it either.

Oh knock it off. You seriously expect us to moderate content??? It's all we can do to keep the shit slinging down. I just spent a good thirty minutes cleaning up various food fights in just a couple threads. I'm not about to start fact checking shit.

Especially since I have some messages from years ago in my box that I just clicked on trying to figure it out!

Serious question, is Biden planning to reinstate the draft to find these 86 0r 87,000 agents? The IRS tried to hire people last yr and couldnt find anybody. The reality of this and in the hiring you must be willing to use deadly force! To collect taxes? What really kills me is the left seems to be all for this. never mind about all the murders in Chicago and Baltimore and letting actual criminals out of jail or not arresting them but lets send 80,000 accountants out with guns to use deadly force to collect taxes. How did prohibition end up working out? The real hard core tax cheats will just go further underground in their dealings costing all of us more.

And are the Dem's approving of deadly force to collect the penance? If not, then why would they approve of the gestapo packing?

Your “fellow” Republicans aren’t knowingly for anything. They simply shake their pom-poms and root for their team.

Sure they are. They are FOR: border security, lower taxes, smaller government, energy independence,

I'm pretty sure I got ya!

Your wife is your class, you dated in high school and (looking at her facebook page) went to Duke.

You have an older sister with the same initials as you (if I remember correctly because I do remember my sister being friends with a J.J).

Obviously the initials gave it away but the Methodist church really helped. I hung out over there because of Mrs Voris and Mr. Fitzpatrick but mainly because of Melanie Neely. Lol but very true. Both sister's bestie were Montalvans while my mom's bestie was Carol Duncan. So that's why those deplorable presbyterians we're hanging out a lot over there (we weren't natural presbyterian, my dad just gotta a gig as the choir director there).

Anyway if any of this is off then I apologize but, nice to hear from you and glad that things seem to be pretty amazing for you and the family.

That's awesome! Appreciate you initiating!

Right. For example, the title could read “Trump fvcked 13 year-old“ but how do we know fvcked is past tense rather than hypothetical subjunctive?

Bingo. Good to connect and glad to know you are still rockin'!!

Life is good. 2 boys in college and the 3rd starting to drive.

I am obviously right leaning but I'd say more of a libertarian. I try not to be a d!ck on here but I'm sure I have when the beer flows.

Hope all is well with you and try not to bust my balls too much on here.

Glad you all rekindled old relations, but be careful. Tommy is slightly left of Soros with a leaning towards Kim Jong Il

Whatever the number of new employees.

Multiply that by $200K in salary, benefits and expenses. You now have the break even point for thie quotas.

It is 86,000 employees and some of them would be armed. This is getting crossed with the story of the IRS purchasing 5 million? (It was a large number) rounds of ammunition a few weeks back.
80,000+ jobs for IRS.
DOD has less than 100 people to investigate foreign entity acquisitions of American businesses, commercial assets, and land for national security threats.

Helpful hint... If Matt Gaetz is the proponent of the point you're advocating/arguing for, it's probably not a well thought out argument...

Ever heard of Al Capone? Remember that he ultimately went down on Tax Evasion charges? Who exactly do you think handled that? Could it be the IRS's Criminal Investigation Division, which consists of 2000 or so ARMED IRS Agents, and is at least ONE HUNDRED years old?

Do ya think that might be the "enforcement agents" that are being referenced? And why they are being "armed"?

In case people still wonder about the facts, it is approx 87,000 workers that the Treasury Dept plans for. But:

1. This over a decade. And over that decade, more than 50,000 employees are expected to leave/retire.

2. Not all (or even most?) will be auditors.

3. Less than 3% of force is in the crim investigation division, the only one allowed to carry guns.

That's a pretty poorly written article. The bill sets forth where the money is earmarked. 45 bil for enforcement.

The article begins by saying the money will be used to replace retirees, answer taxpayer questions and program new computers. Then at the end the article says the new resources are claimed at closing a 600 billion tax gap by cracking down on evasion by the wealthy, especially those with opaque income sources.

45 billion will be used for enforcement which is to say add agents to harass small businesses and those making under $200k. Mark my words

The answer is probably obvious, maybe I'm just overlooking it. If this is to replace future retirees, are those payrolls not already covered? Why would a new bill be needed for an existing expense?

So far in this thread, no one is questioning the source and authenticity of the figure of *86,000 agents along with them being armed with guns".
Wow isn’t that something. No one is looking at the facts on this. Nothing new for the conspiracy theorist’s here who believe the government is Satan incarnate. If they’d do a tiny bit of checking they’d find that the IRS is still using 1960’s computer technology to audit returns and much of the new dollars will upgrade that equipment. And more than 50,000 IRS employees are expected to retire in the next 5 years so they will need replaced. Oh and the republicans have continually cut or blocked funding for the last 20 years and the number of employees is down 12.9% from 2012 levels. Oh yeah and the CI unit which are the agents that are generally armed is about 2100 strong and they have taken down serious criminals such as the Sinaloa cartel in Virginia, NC and Texas. But hey those guys aren’t dangerous so who needs guns.
As I’ve stated in a different post here, had a multi multi millionaire relative who kept two sets of books, banked offshore and showed personal income of around $50k. Did all this specifically to avoid paying his share and he told me so. My wife and I would likely b considered wealthy by many and have never considered not paying r fair share as we have reaped the benefits of all this country has to offer and we’re grateful.

This is long overdue. Yes, technically, many filers can file directly with the IRS, but I don't know a single person that does. Me, I've done my own with TaxAct for over 20 years. Most other working class heroes get it done at one of the storefront outfits, and too many either purposefully or get suckered into getting some bullshit "Instant Refund." That's were the tax prep services make their money. These are loans against the refund made a usury rates that would make payday lenders blush.

I had a class action against them years ago. They were submitting fraudulent returns and banking the difference. It's been forever but what they turned into the IRS wasn't what they showed the customer

When I think about my taxes the IRS has 95% of the stuff to do them without my help and the things they don't know could be handled by requiring companies (Schwab, Fidelity, banks, etc) to do a little more. Or they could have aplace (make up a new word for Aloha :) ) to enter that information on your account at the IRS.

That instant refund is a rip off for sure. It doesn't take long to get your refund if you file electronically.
