Trump Org and CFO charged

RIght now all you have is hearsay

And if Trump's scandals stopped with his cheating, then his presidency wouldn't have been such a disaster.

“We got married in '70, I introduced Joe to Jill in ‘72. Right before the election in ‘72, Jill, Joe, Neilia and I were in his kitchen. How do you forget that?” Stevenson said.

That would be three years before the now-famous “blind date.” Stevenson says his first inkling something was up came when Jill refused to go with him to meet Bruce Springsteen, who was booked to appear at The Stone Balloon.

“She said, ‘Joe asked me to keep an eye on the boys.' And I just thought in the back of my mind, ‘hmm!’” Stevenson said.

Then, one day, Stevenson says a man came into his bar and asked him to pay damages for a fender bender that involved Jill.

“He looks at me and he says, ‘Oh, she wasn't driving.’ I said, 'Her beloved Corvette, she wasn't driving it?’ He goes, 'Senator Biden was driving it.’ And I went, ‘What?’” Stevenson said.

Stevenson said he confronted Jill at the time, but “she didn’t say anything” and “just looked at me.”

“I said, ‘You gotta go. You gotta go get your own place,’” Stevenson said."

Biden isn't responsible for Hunter's business dealings.

Joe doesn't have his unqualified purse maker kid representing the US on the world stage only to be completely ignored by world leaders. Now THAT was freaking hilarious!!!

Oh and explain why Donnie''s side piece Ivanka and her FAILED brand had lucrative trademarks fast tracked by China and how about those Saudi grants?

How much did Jared and Ivanka make while working for the US government? 460 million?

...and you're crying about Hunter Biden? How much day drinking would you say you actually do?

EDIT: Jared and Ivanka made 640 million while working in the White House. Hunter who?
Edit: You have no idea what you're talking about and are just repeating what the Dim narrative tells you.

No, we're not crying about Hunter Biden. We're pointing out Joe's lies when he said he knew nothing about Hunter's business dealings and using his influence to feather the Biden Crime Family's nest.

"Stevenson was convicted on a federal fraud charge and was also sentenced to six years probation for passing bad checks... Stevenson has just written a book about his life"

Sounds like a low-life trying to cash in on scoring a babe 50 years ago.

Like Ranger I hope you've got a crystal ball. However, if Weisselburg doesn't flip or the case doesn't develop then the optics for the Dems are going to be bad and could lead to some kind of backlash. Maybe not. Who knows.

This case makes me a bit nervous b/c, as others have pointed out, the vast majority of similar cases are resolved civilly and probably negotiated by the defendant and IRS. If it looks like the NY AG/Manhattan DA are singling out the Trump Org or fishing to find something, it could go sideways.
A couple of things.

Michael Cohen said again yesterday that paper clips don't get purchased at the Trump Organization without Trump knowing about it and approving it. Trump's fingerprints will be all over whatever wrongdoing that's uncovered.

Next, one of the attorneys in Vance's office said this yesterday: "Contrary to today's assertion by the company's former CEO [Trump], this [not reporting free apartments, cars and private school tuition for one's grandchildren as compensation] is not a 'standard practice in the business community' nor was it the act of a rogue or isolated employee," Carey Dunne, an assistant district attorney, said in court. "Instead, it was orchestrated by the most senior executives, who were financially benefiting themselves and the company by getting secret pay raises at the expense of state and federal taxpayers." "By the most senior executives," plural. Clearly, there are more indictments coming.

Weisselberg's former daughter-in-law (her ex-husband, Barry, still works for the organization) has provided ten bankers boxes of records to Vance's office. In addition, Vance and his staff have literally millions of pages of documents relating to Trump's tax records. I'm assuming those documents are a treasure trove for a district attorney who is retiring at the end of the year and whose legacy will largely hinge on the outcome of this prosecution. He won't proceed with anything less than an exceptionally strong case, and I'm sure he's got one.

Joe's lies? BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!

Like Mexico is going to pay for the wall? I'll give you "beautiful" healthcare for all during my first month in office? I would be happy to release my tax returns if I decide to run for president? Trade wars are good and easy to win? COVID will go disappear. Don't worry, it will go away.

Lies that that, Jethro?

I remember when the Biden Crime Family had to pay 30 million in restitution for fraud for creating a fake university to defraud Americans.

Oh and when the Biden Crime Family stole from his own charity and is now banned from ever being associated with any charitable institution in New York state for life.

Oh wait,.

LOL!!!

...stole from his own charity and is now banned from ever being associated with any charitable institution in New York state for life.
The facts of that grift were even worse. The Trumps stole funds that had been earmarked for Children's cancer.

This why I find Republicans so hilarious these days.

They hate Lebron, but Lebron started a freaking FREE school for at risk kids in his hometown. They feed these children breakfast and lunch. The families don't pay a thing.

Republicans LOVE that fat piece of shit Donald Trump.

Trump started a school too, just like Lebron. The thing is though....Trump University was fake and Trump used this fake university to defraud veterans and regular Americans just trying to get ahead in life. Fat Donnie had to pay 20 million in restitution for fraud.

I wonder why they hate Lebron and love Trump. Oh wait, no I don't. All you have to do is look at both of them.
And there you go - another “they’re all racists” allegation. That’s BS. Of course some of his supporters are racists, but others who supported or voted him did so for reasons of their own that had nothing to do with racism. I didn’t vote for him and I even voted for Biden, but this uncontrollable urge to pull the race card is one of many reasons I’m not a Democrat again. Stop with the BS, race baiting, holier than thou act, it’s damn obnoxious. You certainly don’t help the Democratic Party in their efforts to win more independents and Republican votes.

By the way, racists vote for Democrats too - they just like Democratic policies despite their own racism.

I’m sure Biden is exceedingly likable in person. But it doesn’t change the fact that he’s a lifelong leech on the system, even if he is the only member of his family not to play football and go to college (Link you won’t read)

If you don’t think he’s capitalized on his time leeching then system, then I have nothing to say to you. I uphold the Obama’s and the Bush’s as the standard of morality (though I don’t always agree with their politics) and the Presidential Standard of my lifetime. Biden and Trump aren’t even close.
Obamas and Bushes. - Apostrophe Police. ;)

Biden and Trump are both corrupt to the core. (doesn't mean both don't make good points or push some ideas i agree with).

the really great thing with "whatabout" and party sheep, is that neither Trump nor Biden nor anyone else will ever be held accountable, as all wrongdoing on both sides is now shielded by party safe zones that shield them from all accountability.

and a govt that protects it's own far more than any police union .

regardless of which side one is on, as long as your side has immunity, the other side does too.

accountability can only happen when each side holds their own to it.

neither of you, or most other party sock puppets here who dominate the board, are ever willing to do that.

Maybe. But if the lender doesn't due their due diligence, it's usually on them.

Just like when I built my house. This guy built great houses, so I assumed he was financially stable. I did wonder when he drove all the way to downtown Indianapolis to get me to sign a check - in fact, I even joked with him about needing the cash. He actually DID need it.

If' I'd have done my due diligence, I would have seen that he was hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt to various suppliers. So, I consider that my fault. Lesson learned.

The construction business is a dirty business all the way around. My dad was an electrician and got burned so many times by contractors not paying him that he finally had to get out of the business. And his only recourse was to put a mechanic's lien on the property, which only came into play if the property was sold or changed hands. Even then, there were ways around it.

Politics isn't a whole lot different.
Sounds like you’re an idiot and a sucker. Why should we listen to you about anything?

my guess, and it's truly a guess bc i'm talking out my ass, is that all/most/many developers like trump ride the fence of legality on valuations/lending/assessments/blah blah blah and they go their entire careers without investigations/indictments because no one put a spotlight on them and no one was out to get them. had someone wanted to get them for something they could have, and this is where trump may get jammed up. certain folks motivated to find something

much truth in that no doubt, but i'm guessing it's tougher to get away with if your keeping 2 sets of books, and there is hard copy of conflicting valuations for the same property at the same time for tax purposes and for loan valuations.

when Trump was first considering running i posted here more than once that he was crazy to do so, as he would just be attracting a spot light on his no doubt very dubious tax and financial dealings.

Mark, it’s bullshit. Yes the exec owes the tax but they don’t prosecute this stuff. All political. Why do you think dumped it before holiday weekend?
Why do you think they should have waited until after holiday weekend?

I'm sorry. I have no idea what you're talking about.

Are you suggesting that the Manhattan DA is somehow disappointed with this indictment - - - that this is as good as it gets - - and unsealed it today with the hope that no one would notice, or quickly forget about it? That's absurd.

This was leveraged by the DA for maximum news coverage today, which it most definitely received.

And if you think Weisselberg is the ultimate target of this lengthy investigation, you couldn't be more mistaken. The Manhattan DA charged Weisselberg first with the expectation that he'll flip and shore up the case against the big guy. Frankly, I'm not sure they need Weisselberg because this will be primarily a documents case, but Weisselberg can make it easier because he knows where the bodies are buried and can connect the dots.

Trump will be indicted later this summer or fall on multiple counts of fraud in connection with the overvaluing and undervaluing of assets. Take it to the bank.

Let's quickly review the status of Trump's inner circle. His longtime lawyer/fixer Michael Cohen has already been indicted, convicted and served time. His lawyer/election fraud spokesman Rudy Giuliani just had his law license suspended and is under criminal investigation. Now his CFO has been indicted on multiple counts of felony fraud. Trump's next.
Well, maybe Donny or Eric next.

"Robert Khuzami, Attorney for the United States, Acting Under Authority Conferred by 28 U.S.C. § 515, announced that MICHAEL COHEN was sentenced today to three years in prison for tax evasion, making false statements to a federally insured bank, and campaign finance violations. COHEN pled guilty on August 21, 2018, to an eight-count information before U.S. District Judge William H. Pauley III, who imposed today’s sentence. In a separate prosecution brought by the Special Counsel’s Office (“SCO”), COHEN pled guilty on November 29, 2018 to one count of making false statements to the U.S. Congress and was also sentenced on that case today, receiving a two-month concurrent sentence."

This is a brainless and laughable statement.

Trump has bragged about never paying taxes.

Trump and his family have bragged about stiffing contractors.

The Trump University scam cost those Trump conned millions.

Same with the Trump Foundation and Fat Donnie stealing from his own charity.

25 felony charges against the Trump Organization, where high level employees admit NOTHING is done without Fat Donnie's approval.

Biden, again, was one of the least wealthy congressmen in America until AFTER his tenure as Obama's VP ended.

Comparing Trump and Biden in any way, shape or form is friggin' flat-out stupid.

Holy shit, you're a true imbecile.

From the ARTICLE YOU POSTED, Cohen was basically charged FOR PROTECTING TRUMP.

Finally, in 2016, COHEN made or caused two separate payments to women to ensure that they did not publicly disclose their alleged affairs with a presidential candidate in advance of the election. In one instance, COHEN caused American Media, Inc. (“AMI”), which was identified in previous court filings as “Corporation-1,” to make a $150,000 payment to one woman; in the other, COHEN made a $130,000 payment to another woman through an LLC he incorporated for the purpose of making the payment. COHEN was reimbursed for the latter payment in monthly installments disguised as payments for legal services performed pursuant to a retainer, when in fact no such retainer existed. COHEN made or caused both of these payments in order to influence the 2016 election and did so in coordination with one or more members of the campaign.

Of course Cohen's a bad guy. And there would be very few successful prosecutions of criminal syndicates without bad guys testifying.

I'm not sure what your area of expertise is, but it's not this.

It doesn't matter whether I believe him. What's key is whether the DA believes him and whether a jury does. And the DA has secured his cooperation, so clearly they view him as a key witness.

You're out of your depth here. I'm assuming your legal "knowledge" has been gleaned from Perry Mason and, more recently, Judge Judy.

Never claimed to be a legal expert. I just know you can't trust a proven liar based on what he tells the media or whatever he thinks may help his desire for revenge.

If you want to believe everything about Trump that's been proved false, that's your problem.
