and MSNBC, CNN, NBC, ABC, CBS, Gannett, WaPo, are all owned by large CORPORATIONS.

Human trafficking rings were spreading false information about American policies in Central America in order to entice people to avail themselves of their services to try to get into America illegally. You don't want the government - specifically DHS - involved in combating that? At all?
Seems to me exactly the kind of thing DHS should combat.
That’s the problem. This scenario is like Harris yapping about the “root causes” of illegal immigration. We don’t stop human trafficking into the US by addressing the root cause of fraudulent misrepresentation about American policy. We stop it by finishing the wall, closing the border, making asylum seekers stay in their home country until their case is decided, and allowing the Border Patrol to actually patrol the border instead of staffing the welcome wagon tables.

If Democrats lose the White House in 2024, it is not difficult to imagine a President Trump, President DeSantis, or President Haley getting to appoint his or her own Disinformation Governance Board, tasked with pressuring social media platforms to disallow information embarrassing to the administration.
We need less government…not more.
No government body should have the ability to determine what is and is not the truth….especially one headed by someone so hostile to free and unfettered speech.

This Disinformation board that was actually put together by the Biden Admin doesn't concern anyone? I really don't understand all the people on the WC that thought under Trump these things would be happening when it was the furthest thing from the Trump admin. Now we have this, and all the other new govt. bodies which COH has pointed out that are total Authoritarian, Orwellian. I wake up daily wondering what in the hell happened to the USA.
