I'm not a Trumpist or a Trumpster. I voted for Cruz in the primary. But I am fair and don't take everything someone says and believe it without thinking about it first. The question is what did Trump actually do? People today are saying he did not throw any of our allies under the bus as was talked about yesterday. It is said today that he never gave any pertinent secrets to the Russians. What this is in my view is the media who hates Trump jumping the gun and assuming he did something because they in their heart of hearts are trying to get him. If it is proven Trump did nothing wrong then they will ignore it and move onto the next scandal. Fake news is in a furious frenzy since the man took office. What we need to do is investigate the issues and not just take things as truth right away.
You talk just like Trump. " It is said, many people say." Please turn on a valid news source to find out what is really going on if you want to discuss it.

How do you judge a valid news source? See people will say one is valid if it slants to their perspective. We truly should want to know the truth. Now if you find out that Trump didn't do anything wrong are you going to come on here and trumpet this fact? This is what I am saying. The press goes after the man and when nothing comes of it they just move on to the next way to get him. We don't want that. Neither party should. What we want is the truth.

He claims, though, that verbatim quotes, made by him, are somehow "fake news".
His lying is in no way subtle. It's like pointing at the blue sky and saying it ain't blue.
It is possible, but it's also a basis to ask whether Trump has engaged in an obstruction of justice . . . especially when considered in conjunction with Trump's not-so-veiled threat to Comey regarding possible tape recordings of Trump/Comey conversations.
Van, on as friendly of a basis as I can offer on this point, I have to say that you're not really engaged in critical thinking about this stuff at all. Your posts indicate total alignment with Trump even to the point of an inability to think it is possible that Trump is wrong, or intentionally lying, or is acting in contravention of the US' best interests.
I suggest that you ask yourself what your reaction would be if a President Hillary had done the same thing . . . I have great confidence that you'd be accusing her of treason and calling for her impeachment.

It's very easy. Reputable newspapers will not print something if they don't have reliable sources. If they make a mistake they admit it and correct it. Trump already admitted firing Comey and why ( after making his staff lie about it), he admitted via twitter that he gave information to Russia because he has the right to. Trump via Comey? Trump has lied repeatedly to the public. As much as I disagreed with some of Comey's decisions, as far as I know, he hasn't blatantly lied to the country. I'm going with Comey. Trump's in serious trouble now. And no one with a brain can be surprised. He showed us who he was in the campaign. And some of you didn't care. Hope those people, are happy as we are likely involved in months of impeachment trials. I know Putin has to be thrilled.

The problem is that our country is so divided that even if a news story is 100% gospel truth, if it doesn't meet their agenda, they will claim it as fake news and biased.
