Question:

I have asked this multiple times to crickets-

What is the deal with JHS and his back? I know he is day to day, and I expect him to play. I am concerned long term. I heard an announcer say something along the lines of “IU isn’t concerned because he has been dealing with this issue for over a year and it usually clears up in a couple of days”. It sounded to me like it’s something that could be an issue all season??

On Monday coach W said he was day to day. Hopefully we can get him back, take some pressure off of X as we don’t need X going off on another of his “tirades”.

There are only 2 games left on the schedule when we don’t need all hands on deck. Tonight isn’t one of them

I thought I heard the announcer say he dealt with this issue last year, meaning during his senior year in high school and it healed up relatively quickly.

Woodson's injury update of "day to day" means we won't know until we know. A few IU players in the past have had some back issues that proved really problematic for the team's overall season record. In a perfect world he plays tonight, scoring 12 points with 6 assists and never has another issue with it.

Yeah, I never like hearing about back issues, because they often seem to recur, are easy to aggravate and can take awhile to heal. I know they do all kinds of stretching but I know back issues can be caused by tightness in the legs. I hope all our guys do yoga, I think that's one of the best ways to help reduce injuries overall. Wish I'd started in HS.

i've heard it's a double detached slipped disc. seems to act up only when the word "work" is mentioned.

It does seem we have a lot of injuries.
I would re look at our lifting, stretching, running program. Maybe something can be changed.
Well, we’ve still got Archie’s guy in charge. You know, the guy who touts 40-inch verticals and has glamour shots taken of the players before and after he gets them in his program.

we sure weren't rebounding in Pissaway NJ like we have 40" verticals.

80% FT shooting will impress me a helluva lot more than benching 300 lbs free weight

Well, maybe in some ways it's the best thing for us, if he's hurting, give him more time and hope he's ready for Arizona.

And, CMW is always preaching next man up, so now we have to roll with the same crew that struggled Saturday. I guess we'll see what they've learned!

Lighten up Francis, nobody knows unless they know him or he authorized somebody to speak on his behalf about it ... called HIPPA, so Woodson and staff can't really talk about unless he says OK. To be honest, if I were Woodson, I'd keep it guarded for as long as I could and make it hard for teams to know what they're getting

Its so obvious this guy and his methods need looking into. But he is better than JeNay Jackson.

BTW it appears JHS made the trip with the team to Vegas. Seems doubtful he'd take the flight if he was still hurting, right? Hope it's a good sign, though if he plays not sure I'd expect a whole lot. Regardless, need the good X out there whether Jalen can go or not.

Did Duncomb get on the plane?

How old do you have to be to go into the casinos? With NIL money plus young men I wonder if they will all get out of Vegas without being broke.
