Goat's POLS Thread for Mature Adults

😨 😨

Hope her African chants are accurate. I don't need her to mis-chant and then me, minding my own business, suddenly my little SGpeashooter starts to droop in the most inopportune times!

I had calmed down today thinking this was essentially in the bag. Now Steve Kornacki is showing me how AZ and NV may not be as solid a lock as I thought. OTOH, he's also showing me how we still actually do have a chance in GA. Now my guts are churning and my bowels are in an uproar. I'm going to see if the ol' battleax has any of her good meds she can spare. Fvck.
Yeah something hasn't seemed right about Arizona this whole time.
If I was Trump I would be cautiously optimistic about Arizona

CNN and MSNBC said the exact opposite on AZ. SOS was on CNN and said mail in ballots are left in mostly blue areas.

The problem is that Maricopa is currently blue, but Trump won it last time. If it regresses to the mean, these are Trump votes.

SEC or the Consumer Financial Protection agency (whatever it's called). If we'd taken the Senate I would have preferred she stay there and take over the banking committees.
I was kidding about treasury. Wall St would have a high speed come apart if she was even nominated.

John King on CNN just predicted that Trump will not badmouth the process in AZ and GA the way he has MI,WI, and PA. The reason- he doesn't want to criticize states who have Governors who are Trump allies...

You think he cares about that?

Starting to think Kanye has no shot to win this presidency.

Trump supporters in some states yelling stop the counts. If they did, Biden wins. Other states yelling count the votes. That’s exactly what they are doing. Oh yes, and several are armed in AZ. Let’s get this finished.

I watched some hannity tonight. Priming the lawsuit/cheating pump. Maybe I’m naive but I just don’t see how states who can barely organize an election can coordinate an elaborate scheme to cheat and not have anyone spill the beans

cheating is often the easiest path to winning, figuring out ways to cheat isn't rocket science, has been going on forever, and likely is practiced wherever there are elections.

what's really sad, is the voters themselves of each party, or division within a party, would rather win cheating than lose fair and square, thus neither side get any push back from their own side when they cheat, and don't care what the other side thinks.

the voters of each party are beyond appalled when the other side does it, and put on their blinders or silently cheer it on, when their side does.

Did some math on the PA ballots and even in a bad scenario for Biden, he'll end up winning by 40k/50k. The 100k-200k margin seems more realistic.

Georgia's going to be really close and might depend on if there's some counted ballots not updated/reported yet on SoS's site. Certainly recount territory. Last batch will probably clinch the Senate runoff for Ossoff.

Should get clarity on Nevada today, but Ralston's pretty sure there's a lot of Clark County (Vegas) mail ballots left that should ice it for Biden there. Those batches have all been good for Dems.

Trump got barely the numbers he needed from Arizona, but it sounds like those two were probably his best batch of votes and the next ones will have more indies/Dems. Plus still some good Dem ballots out. Not a lock for Biden but he's in a much better position than Trump.

I think MI has a law against armed individuals being near a polling place/election facility.
I said "militia types" because (imho) the people I saw on my screen reminded me of the people in the Michigan Militia who showed up at the Statehouse in Lansing and were involved in the plot to kidnap Whitmer.

Actually, I saw what I characterized as "militia types" harassing what I'd describe as "little old ladies" in the parking lot of a govt type building in Detroit. It reminded me of the yelling I saw when militia types invaded the Statehouse in Lansing and some of the Black lawmakers said they felt threatened. I never in any way suggested that these clowns were average GOP voters. IMO they were extremists trying to stop Black votes from being counted.
Video in this thread of that event showed unarmed white protesters, but you started your post about them with, "Speaking of white supremacists/nationalists... " Describing them that way is not fair to the visual evidence, and I think that's what got Ranger started on this exchange between you two.
