Does his incivility make you proud?
It’s good trump is being civil. Biden called him a dictator. Said he’d like to take him out back. Etc. Big on trump to extend that olive branch. Trump is already trying to unify

You got it backward. President Trump didn't invite President-elect Biden to the White House for the traditional meeting between incoming and outgoing Presidents. President Biden did invite President-elect Trump. And don't give Trump any credit for civility. He's called President Biden many childish denigrating names.

Edit to add: at these meetings the outgoing President briefs the President-elect on issues from a Presidential perspective to help the transition.

Biden wanted to fight him. Sad. Again this is trump being the bigger man

MM66, Trump is too busy to meet with the loser Biden as among other things he is working toward ending the war in Ukraine before his inauguration as promised.

He's already missed that one. Someone must have told him that he can't negotiate with foreign leaders before he's President.

Then again, maybe it's one of the many things he says which aren't to be taken seriously. I'd like to know when we are supposed to take him seriously.

Breaking news, Trump isn't like other presidents.

He promised to end the war in Ukraine before his inauguration and has been elected to do it. He will honor his promise.

Making America Great Again requires bold new leadership :).

Why would have he invited him to the WH? Biden said he was going to whip his ass.

Back in 2020, Trump as helping protect biden from Covid by not expecting him to come out of his bunker. The man simply puts everyone else in front of his own needs.

A billionaire who could spend all day golfing and lounging at the island devoting his golden years to making things better for others and the country he loves

Be serious, Stoll. Why did Trump accept Biden’s invitation to meet this Wednesday then? Trump has said far worse about Biden and everyone else he perceived as a political enemy or simply disloyal. This is a meeting that happens during every Presidential transition except when the transition was from Trump to Biden. The pettiness is off the chart. Of course, there is also the part about Trump doing everything he could at the time, legal and illegal, to overturn the election and stay in office. But, hey, it’s all good now. Trump lost fair and square then and won fair and square this time. I wish our President-elect the best for the sake of our wonderful country and I’m hoping his staff and cabinet can contain all his worst instincts and keep his mental instability (my opinion) in check.

God bless America and IU football!

MM66, this brings a question which may never be answered.

Did Trump really believe he won in 2020?
If you read the reporting and election interference indictment he was repeatedly advised, including by experts he hired to find fraud, that there was none of note and that he legitimately lost and he essentially said it didn’t matter and they’d continue the fight. He’s also quoted admitting he lost. My opinion is he had two major reasons. 1) He didn’t care and was willing to overturn the will of the people to stay in office and 2) he knew a big portion of the MAGA faction would believe his lie and wanted them fired up to support 1) due to loss of faith in the results and also fired up to support another run. It is essentially what happened. However, he actually did win this time and will be President in January. God bless the President and the USA!

Walz is an idiot we will never hear from again unless he’s arrested spying for China.
WELL that may not be the only thing that Tampon Tim may do that would be news worthy.. We will see and right now he is probably very mentally stressed, so his constraint may be limited.. Stand by.

@mcmurtry66 JD Vance ended up being the right choice. I thought Haley or Scott would have been better choices, but I was wrong. Vance is younger, smarter, and more talented than both of them.

This post is way out of line. If I were a mod, it would result in a vacation.

Mods?
This made me laugh. You think calling someone a loser is out of line in this place?

Are you blind? Or just having a senior moment?

I am shocked that Trump actually is going to win the popular vote - rather easily too it seems, despite having 2 million less votes. How is that possible? I suppose there are one of two explanations (or potentially a combination of the two).

1) There were actually some fraudulent voting issues in 2020 given COVID, etc. I'm not a conspiracy theorist, so I am going to assume this is not what transpired - at least not at a broad level that accounts for the millions of votes that didn't show up in 2024, but voted in 2020.

2) Kamala AND Trump were THAT unpopular where he lost 2 million voters because of any number of various issues, traits, etc. But, she was WILDLY unpopular to secure ~15 million fewer votes than Biden. The overall turnout is an indicator that the choices were terrible, but that the DNC's choice was particularly embarrassing, as I've been claiming since she was put in as VP.
Occam's razor picks #1.

#2, sure maybe they were unpopular. But 15 million few votes unpopular? No way.
