He is sharp enough to be enjoying Kamala and Obama’s defeat.
He seemed downright joyful when he was talking about the election.
It is interesting, though, that Obama attached himself to such a loser as Kamala. I thought he was supposed to be a brilliant politician and all his constituency thought he was the greatest President ever.
The Democrat Party is such a clown show. And they haven't learned any lessons from this - of course, they think the only reason they lost is because the country is so sexist and racist. Yeah, that's it...
Only because Republicans had lawyers on speed dial to keep things honest.
Late 50s/early 60s - they get fired all the time, or 'offered' earl retirement at reduced pensions.So fired because of your age, then? Find a lawyer.
HR is smart - they fire just enough in other age categories so ageism can't be proved.

I'm not sure why we can't just leave the candidate's kids out of all this.

She's an adult. Didn't she campaign with her dad? Or appear with him? I honestly don't know it for a fact, but it seems like I remember her speaking.
The crap Trump's kids take around here should also be off limits, but you know it's not.
I don't follow this stuff that closely, but I thought her campaigning was limited to talking about how much a part of her life Harris was, and that she was like a second mom. That kind of campaigning shouldn't open you up to ridicule, I don't think.
Re Trumps kids, Ivanka seemed like she didn't take shots at other people. So I'd put her in the same camp. I think a couple of his sons, though, are shit stirrers on Twitter, so if you go on there and do that, you kinda have it coming.
In addition to being shit stirrers and major parts of his campaign, they're also in their 40's. People should leave Tiffany and Barron alone. And they should mostly leave Melania out of it, too.
But the most important thing is that the rumor that dmb was pushing wasn't true. I get that folks like danc and dmb and stoll want it to be true, but that's a them problem.
2020 re: monetarism. Fiscal stimulus blew the whole thing up. Also, the Fed didn't help with the GFC, but it seemed to outperform its peers (see Europe, Japan) post-recession.

Saw where Hovde in Wisconsin said there were something like 190,000 Milwaukee absentee ballots were released and 90% were for the Democrat.

No one was stepping up, when we got in tight situations it was never good. We played REALLY well today against a top 5 team, if they play that hard in the tourney they will win one or two games. Historically that would be the greatest year ever. Just not the last 5, that's pretty standard now. So it can be a new normal year.
I think Mac brought a mental toughness that we missed. The last 2 weeks we have played better and suddenly Yarden seems to be the one stepping up. I hope that continues.
But we never are athletic. Either we need to quit having only "coach's kid" types, or find one that is an elite athlete. Against really quick teams where we have to be perfect, we struggle with perfection. If you don't have anyone to go to to beat the press, everyone has to run the system perfectly.
Coach also said we get in our own heads, someone makes a mistake they can't let it go. I can see that.
If Yarden plays in the tourney like she has, we'll compete with anyone. She lacks quickness so she has to work to get shots. But as long as she isn't afraid to take them she can really hit. The extra week off the women get may hurt her, when you've got the hot hand you really do not want literally 2 weeks off.
Can't believe I missed this before. There's nothing crazy about the idea of a shadow cabinet. Virtually every Westminster-style government has one. They don't have any power. They are just opposition counterparts to the members of the actual cabinet, whose job it is to scrutinize government policy and offer alternatives.
It's probably not even very useful in a Presidential system like ours; there's a reason you only see them in parliamentary governments. But there's nothing nefarious about it. It's not a secret government or anything like that.
