It has only been 17 months since he has taken office and he has managed to drop the market below 30,000. His administration has managed to destroy almost everything in the economy and the world order. So educate me, tell me why we are better off today than we were in 2017, 18 and 19 with the trump administration. Leave the democracy crap out of your discussion, the same could made against biden.

They don't care. They rather a Dem be in office and the whole country live in pure misery vs Trump in office and everyone is happy. It's to the death with these cultists.

We aren't better off. The God-awful Trump response to the pandemic made sure we couldn't avoid the worldwide economic collapse, despite our standing as the sole economic superpower.

We would 100% be in worse economic shape if that traitorous stupid criminal were still in office.

The cult of orange will never admit it though. When inflation went from 3% in Nixon's first term to 11.4% in his second term, these numbnuts would have been whining about how they should have voted for Nixon instead of Nixon.

You really are hickory stupid. And believe me you are absolutely in a cult. Progressive policies you love have been awful for the country

Omg do you actually believe what you posted? Don’t answer I know you do.

Do you have a job with the administration to get ole Joe out of bed and moving each day? I mean physically moving. I understand his brain can’t function.

And this is why you need to be careful not to drop babies on their head. sku's mom must have been careless ;)

But you are just like Trump....trying to leave democracy crap out... Maybe you should move to a country with a dictator (since you love dictators so much and want to leave democracy out).

My networth and business mushroomed under Trump, great president from my vantage point.

Yup, and Trump definitely had something to do with that... LMAO.

Obama sure left trump a mess and Trump turned it around for us. hahahahahahahahahahaha.

sarcasm by the way.

Obama was great. Pulled us out of the recession. Biden is the absolute worst.

That’s the whole point. Anything short of proclaiming Trump’s first 3 years as the golden age of western democracy while shitting on anything that came before or after falls on deaf ears.

Bonus points if you can thread together a conspiracy theory that involves a global pandemic mucking up Trump’s supreme rule.

And Biden is destroying it. At breakneck speed.

Democracy makes such a racket.
Here's a wake up call of just how bad Biden has been and what people care about. Today, in the throes of the Jan 6 hearings and damning evidence, more people would vote for Trump than Biden. People care most about what impacts their activities of daily living. When you're trying to figure out how to feed your family it's tone deaf to make these hearings a primetime special

Why can't people admit that BOTH our last 2 Presidents are to blame for our current situation?

And why is it a surprise? Trump and Biden are actually pretty similar in a lot of ways.

-Old
-Out of touch with reality
-They both made so many mistakes in their chosen professions before becoming POTUS, that one could easily make a case that both were woefully incompetent.
-They're both MUCH more focused on appeasing the loudest factions of their parties, than they are actually leading our country.
-They're both reactionary, and neither are good at reacting.

Trump's horrific response to Covid created a lot of the conditions we're facing now.

Biden's horrific reaction to those conditions are creating our current reality.

The real question we should ALL be asking is how in God's name we got to a point where Donald Trump and Joe Biden could be 1)nominated and 2)elected...

I'm thanking him for all the money he made me by managing to keep the market at an all-time high throughout most of his Administration.

Here's the thing.

I also don't think most people see things as binary. Objectively, there are a lot of people who can agree that they're not happy with Biden while also not wanting to re-elect Trump. I just hope 2024 isn't an either/or proposition between those two.

Ha - good point. If Trump supporters can point to '17 - '19, then why can't people who support Biden talk about his first 13 months in office?

The dummies that voted this clown into office, shouldn't be able to vote in the next presidential election.

Don't you people EVER tell me who to vote for...Biden's the worst president in a CENTURY...

Make it at least 150 years (and imo, 220).

The differences being Buchanan was at least a prominent attorney before his political career; Biden's done nothing but suck off the public teat his whole adult life, after cheating his way through law school. Also, I don't know that anyone questioned Buchanan's mental capacity.

Jan 6 hearings are yet another strike against Trump. Just keep piling on him and he will continue to lose ground

Agree. That’s a pretty damn good summary. There JUST HAVE TO BE BETTER PEOPLE than these two.

If he gets blame for anything bad in the economy, then why not credit for anything good?

That's kind of what I'm saying. If Trump supporters want to talk about the economy humming along from 2017-19, they have to acknowledge the craptastic COVID response and his administration's' impact on the current economy.

It's all about the Benjamins.

Here's the thing, it really is. And to attempt to suggest that it's not, or shouldn't be, is naïve. Despite all the various issues that consume people when the economy is good, in the end people vote with their wallets. And anyone with an IRA or 401k and thinking about retirement is soiling themselves. No one cares about defund the police or the borders when 25% of their nest egg is wiped out and they need to keep working.

There’s no point in having a discussion with people who do not understand that we are in a global situation stemming from the pandemic aftermath and the war.And no, the “ democracy crap” cannot be said for Biden. Please educate yourself on what is happening around the world, not just the US.

Bless your heart. I hope you’re alive to read the historical take. I doubt that there will ever be any president rated worse than Trump. The ignorance in his cult grows by the day.

Democrats should be trying harder to actually run the country and propose solutions for inflation, Russia, gas prices, immigration...etc...

Actually getting effective legislation passed right now is probably next to impossible. But they need to try.

Multi tasking should be a required skill for people running our country, however. So, something they can hopefully accomplish right now, is effectively ending any chance that Donald Trump could win the 24 Presidential election. And these hearings are helping with that.

Its too early to know what the ideal Republican candidate would be to win in 24'. Heck, we realistically don't even know who the Democratic candidate will be. If its status quo, and the Dems run Biden/Harris again...assuming things don't dramatically improve in the next couple years...Pretty much any Republican candidate that can generate even the slightest excitement for themselves, would likely beat Biden. The election, like our last one, will be as much a referendum on Biden's failures, as it will be specifically supporting the Republican candidate.

The ironic thing, to me, is if the largely Democratic led Jan 06 hearings do, in fact, eliminate Trump from 24' contention here soon. That might enable the RNC to get behind someone else finally. Which could make it a lot easier for them to beat Biden in 24. I think Trump would likely beat Biden in 24 if they both ran, and if things went down the path it seems they are...but with Trump, there's always the risk that he'll say or do something so horrible, or so dumb, that he'll reenergize the Dems voting base. As of now, Trump is probably one of the few humans on the planet Biden could beat is my point. If the Dems eliminate him as an option, they might be giving away the Presidency in 24...???...

Agree on many counts. I think the Dems are in a lot of trouble going forward. They have a cult/progressives problem on their hands. Their policies are proven failures, yet they are very loud, have the ears and eyes of social media, media and Hollywood, and aren't going away. In many ways I think the Dems would benefit from the progressives just breaking off into their own party. I think a centrist democratic party is what most of the country prefers. I truly believe the lion's share of people are center to slightly center left.

My concern is the progressives are not as concerned about Dems losing seats because they'll probably be moderate Dems who pay the price as progressives are from more liberal districts anyway. This will give progressives even more control of the party.

Which Democratic policies are proven failures? They seemed to hum right along for a good portion of the 2010s. I'm not sure that anyone is arguing that Biden is handling things as well as he could/should, but to dismiss the entire Democratic platform based on his presidency is wrong, in my opinion.

Not democratic policies. Progressive policies
