I'm listening. Most of us know the election wasn't stolen. I suspect even many of those that say it was don't believe it. However, I don't think this speech, which I'm listening to as I type, is good for Biden. The President shouldn't even recognize the stupidity of those that think the election was stolen, he should ignore that stupidity. Leave that to others. He needs to concentrate on things that would unite rather than divide. This isn't it.

I don't find anything wrong with shining light on the facts of the matter. I don't find anything wrong with noting the raid on the Capitol. It was a year ago. It wasn't like he simply admonished the believe. He spelled out some logic.
The key isn't that 'most of us know the election wasn't stolen', the key is there were people who actually believed it and still do.

Moderate Republicans do exist, but the ones who are currently politicians are biding their time. I've always appreciated George Will and Bill Kristol, at least in the social media era. I always liked George Will, but seeing him on ABC or documentaries growing up, he also talked a lot about baseball.

While my wife and I were in the security line putting computers, tablets, etc. in bins a young 20 something punk wearing a shirt with puppies on it jumped in front of my wife and me and did the same to go through before us. We were done getting ready when he did it. After going through I asked this punk when his time became more important than the time of everyone else in the line behind him and why he felt the need to be rude. He said we were taking too long, which we weren't. I explained to him that we were right behind the people in front of us and ready to go as they pushed their stuff through the scanner. He denied that so I told him he was full of shit and I hoped he appreciated the 15 to 30 seconds he may have gained by cutting in line. The young punk told me that my words were "hurtful and rude." That, coming from the disrespectful little punk, actually did piss me off and I told him he'd actually experience something that hurt if he didn't shut his trap and move on. I threw a "F you" in as well. He moved on really quickly. Those that know me from here know that I have little patience for disrespectful behavior. Is it wrong that I wanted to punch that little entitled "woke" punk in the throat? I know I would have regretted it after, but I would have enjoyed it at the time.

As long as Trump continues to peddle his Big Lie, people of influence need to call him out on it. It's critical for a number of reasons, including the fact that the Lie is being leveraged by several state legislatures to strip local and state election officials of their authority over elections. If this trend continues, there's a growing likelihood that we'll have states, in the aftermath of a presidential election, appointing "alternate" slates of electors, thereby subverting the will of the voters.

Well, it was right there with the TSA agents standing around us. One of the TSA agents gave me a nod when I told the punk to F off and move on, but he'd probably have had to step in if I decked the guy. He only had me by a couple inches and a few pounds, but he was clearly a wuss, and I'd have felt bad for decking him. Plus I'd expect that TSA might have delayed me enough after that I would have missed my flight. They might even have kicked me out of the airport. My wife would have been pissed at me for either of those outcomes, but she was happy that I told the punk to F off.
