Biden news conference thread -- 6:30 pm

You're embarrassing yourself... I know you got the party e-mail and all but c'mon...

If Trump is such an existential " threat to democracy" why did the DNC run Joe again as your Presidential candidate? No one is buying the "they didn't know" about his obviously diminished cognitive state... Anyone actually watching and listening to him the past 4 years has seen it in real time...

You ladies need a new talking point... That dog won't hunt...
Tell me what I wrote about Project 2025 and the people behind it that's inaccurate, and why. Be specific.

I follow almost everything related to Trump's campaign. I have never once heard of Project 25 before Trump disowned it the other day.

But first, “we” have to stop calling every Trump voter or MAGA supporter dumb, stupid, racist, fascist, etc. and meet them where they’re at. That’s how a functioning society works.
And "we" need to stop calling every Dem a libtard, commie, socialist, fascist, pussy, cuck, etc., and meet them where they are.

Who are the others. You’ve claimed I’m a Trump only guy numerous times, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. I’m way more of a never dem guy. Please provide the handles of those that are “only Trumpers”. So far you’ve named 1, but I can’t say I’m certain you’re correct on the 1.
I didn’t say there were others here. I posted what dbm said. He said several times during the primary and Haley was still in that it had to be Trump and he and others like him wouldn’t support any other nominee. You can search it or ask him. He was loud and proud about it. His loyalty is to Trump and only Trump. He will accept no substitutes.

Trump didn't "disown" it. He's distancing himself from it. It's not formally affiliated with the campaign for legal reasons. Their spokesperson has stated that "it does not speak for any candidate or campaign." Of course, that's bullshit which becomes evident as soon as you read it.

Trump will continue to keep his distance because, while it's red meat for MAGA, it's not going to win over Independents and swing voters.

Finally, gotta love how Trump says "I know nothing about Project 2025" and, in the very next sentence, says he disagrees with some of it. Pathological liar.

That’s his schtick. Anytime someone disagrees with him his default is to call names or hurl insults, & he’s dull enough that he uses the same one every time. That & scream over & over again that he’s the true Republican, not the 70 million that will vote for Trump.🙄
I didn’t call anyone a name in that post. Also, don’t lie about me when you post about me. I do not call people names just because they disagree with me. I save those for ankle biting idiots like you who call me names because they’re butthurt that this long-time Republican will not support Trump. Then I respond in kind. You most definitely aren’t smart enough to call anyone dull. I suspect you are typically the dumbest person in any room you enter.

Well, we know he hasn’t read it.

Agree for the most part but disagree to the extent trump is a blip. Trump tapped into something bigger that is a flag others will carry. He touched a segment of the population that felt ignored or out of touch with old guard pubs. Someone will take his place OR a smart Dem will come along and bring them under their tent and republicans will be left with very little left. The pre Trump Republican Party won’t win a national election again imo
This is the astute observation. The fundamental message of Trump and Bernie are no different: the interest of the people is not represented by our politicians and institutions AND there exists a level of corruption that goes well beyond a wink and a nod.

That genie is out of the bottle and there is no putting it back. When Dr. Phil, Kid Rock, Joe Rogan. Tucker Carlson, Dave Chappelle, Jimmy Dore, Ice T and Elon Musk all agree on that topic, it’s not a blip.

Trump, VERBATIM, in 2022 on the Heritage Foundation and their mission (already underway 2 years ago) to draft policy plans, for him:

Go to the 2:17 mark

“Heritage does such an incredible job… They are going to lay the groundwork, in detailed plans for exactly what our movement will do, and what your movement will do, when the American people give us a colossal mandate to save America. And that’s coming. That’s coming.”

Trump and his allies are an absolute threat to democracy. Project 2025 is Exhibit A.
Yes. Who would want to disrupt “democracy” when the current mode includes throwing political enemies in jail on extreme interpretations of the law, censoring free speech to interfere in an election, removing due process, shipping 100’s of billions to foreign countries while our own citizens suffer, entering into endless wars without Congrssional approval, and most recently. Ignoring the will of the people by throwing out the results of the primary for a sitting president.

Forget a career politician making $200k/yr being worth 100mm+.

If that is what “democracy” evolved to, it is rotten at its core and why our Founders explicitly set us up as a Constituonal Republic. The populace was hoodwinked and the checks and balances were to act as a backdrop. Unfortunately, outside SCOTUS they are rotten to the core.

There’s a difference between thinking Trump would be best vs. only Trump. My guess is you’ve labeled most of them incorrectly. In my view, you let your hatred of Trump get the best of you all to often.

Your post has as many lies as a Trump speech or debate. For example, Forbes has Biden’s net worth at $10M.

1) "Throwing political enemies in jail on extreme interpretations of the law." Not sure exactly whom you're referencing. The Jan 6 rioters? Trump? They were all indicted by grand juries and either pled or were found guilty by a jury. We have an appellate court system. If there were errors or erroneous applications of the law, that will be remedied on appeal. That's democracy.
2) "Censoring free speech." A criminal defendant has no right to undermine a legal proceeding by disparaging or intimidating witnesses, family members of court personnel, etc. That's democracy.
3) "Removing due process." Who was denied it, when, and in what fashion?
4) Shipping billions to foreign countries." Are you talking about Israel? Ukraine? That's called preserving democracy.
5) "Entering into endless wars without Congressional approval." AUMFs? You need to be more specific with respect to the time frame and the specific war(s) you're talking about.
6) "Ignoring the will of the people by throwing out the results of the primary for a sitting president." Are you talking about Biden? When did this happen? Did I miss a Breaking News story today? All of the delegates are his unless and until he releases them (i.e. he drops out). That's his prerogative. That's democracy.

Of course there’s a difference. However, dbm said only Trump will do for him and made the claim that most of the devoted base would do the same as him if it wasn’t Trump - stay home. No one is more slavishly devoted to Trump here, than dbm. Haven’t you noticed? He doesn’t hide it at all.

To me, saying someone worked in the Trump admin means that Trump buys what they've written, isn't very persuasive. It's a weak argument to begin with and guilty of the logical fallacy of guilt by association. Plus, any force it does have is also weakened by the nature of Trump. Of any president over my lifetime, Trump is the worst one you can make that argument about with any kind of reliability. He's just not an ideologically driven person.

Might he adopt some of the things in Project 2025? Maybe. The more outlandish the proposition in that thing, though, the less likely he has any interest in it whatsoever. The no-fault divorce thing is just howlingly stupid to associate with Trump.

Yikes if true. I can believe it.

I've got news for you - if you think the Biden tape will ever be released, you might as well think the Pedo Island boys will be prosecuted.

If/when Trump is elected, the new AG will suddenly discover those tapes have been erased or destroyed.

Garland knows how to cover his tracks.

What is Hunter's net worth, never having a real job?

Spot on

guilt by association.
Guilt by association, Brad. Seriously? Save that for the kids.

I gave you a laughing emoji but it comes with good intentions (boosting your reaction score).

Look at post 173 above. Read what I wrote about Heritage's Mandate for Leadership in 2016 and what followed. That was just the warm-up act.

Might he adopt many things in Project 2025? Most definitely. But once again and, yes, no-fault divorce will survive. Phew!

I don't understand your first line.

No fault divorce is an abomination.

Didn't your parents teach you about "guilt by association" in the context of instructions to avoid some trouble-making/asshole kid in the neighborhood?

Are you on vacation this week? Between jobs? You're posting at a breakneck pace!
