None at all. I decided to join the Navy a couple years out of college. I paid for college with a small Hoosier Scholar scholarship, which I believe was about $500 total, working in the summers and on breaks (on top of what I’d saved by working in high school), and some college loans to make up the difference.

Back in the day you had to do some work and show yourself in public to get any kind of assistance. You had to go to the welfare office to get your food stamps, the unemployment office to get your unemployment check, and the township trustee to get rental or heating assistance. Prideful people didn't want to be seen doing that. Now they just drop it in your bank account or load it on your SNAP card or direct deposit the money with the gas company.
Anyone that receives taxpayer assistance should have a sign planted their yard. That would eliminate these jokers getting on social media and badmouthing strangers while they are receiving the same benefits.

I’m probably more Republican than you. Voting for Trump doesn’t make you a Republican by itself. Voting against Trump, a man I honestly think is despicable person and a RINO unfit for the Presidency, doesn’t mean I’m not a Republican. The shaft argument doesn't mean anything to me. I know several people who had their houses taken for I69 (I live right next to it, my kids went to school with several families impacted). They did not want to leave, but had to. Every time the defense department chooses a weapons system, investors in a different system lose.
Heck, I paid off my PLUS loan when COVID started. I don't feel cheated some people waited and get an advantage. Good for them. It is like I don't care if coworkers get raises, good for them. If you win the lottery, good for you. I don't need to feel jealous.
That said, there are other good reasons to oppose the plan. It does not tackle the real problem, it skips the role of Congress in our system, and it costs money that may be better spent elsewhere (public education would be a better choice). But jealousy someone gets help doesn't work for me.

I'm not sure it's jealousy to point out the unfairness of this. And it is unfair.
But I agree that all your other reasons are the better reasons to call it bad policy. I also think it is unconstitutional and Biden's doing it is a setting a terrible precedent.
These are all admirable things that I totally agree with. But this isn't about holding a grudge about those who are being forced to take this advantage. This is about a policy that is immoral as hell, if not a total socialist take over trying to slide through the cracks. It's nothing to do with the recipients (who have no choice), it's about the puppet masters that are using biden to test the bigger waters with this crap!
