'Boiler Nation'? That may be the most diminutive expression of a banana republic that ever was. Half the people in America don't even know what state pU is in or have the vaguest idea of what a boilermaker is supposed to be, only that it makes for one of the creepiest mascots in the country. "Boiler up' sounds like an invitation to an epic case of skin rash and open sores, but I guess if someone finds themselves immersed in the backwater cesspool of W. Lafayette, any mention or notice of their alma mater looks bright. Enjoy your inevitable, well-practiced and epic post-Season meltdown - I will if only because it means you and your ilk will just as predictably retreat into silence and obscurity thereafter.
Point is, if you're here to talk trash, you're out of you're depth. If it's BB that might be a different story.
Have to say I was impressed by Edy's post-game comments, and particularly when he grabbed the mike at the end to cover either Loyer or Smith's attempt to take responsibilility for the loss because of some late-game error. It was a noble (and truthful) comment he made about how their were plenty of other errors made by everyone throughout the game with that one being no worse than any other. Listening to your Players, they all sounded like decent guys and made me think that despite my antipathy, I respect the way the way they play the game and credit (shudder) them and staff for not engaging in thug-ball, throwing cheap shots and the like. Still think that without Edy your squad is a cellar team this year, but the same might be said about IU without TJD, and your freshmen did overcome their apparent shock at playing in AH for the first time to make a game of it in the second half. Not too shabby, hope I can say as much about IU after the rematch.

I am quite confident in saying two freshmen starting guards in the country have ever won a P5 Conference title and been on a team ranked # 1 in the country at any time in the season! No matter what your comeback is it will not change this fact!

Purdue is going to be a tough out in the tournament, I can admit it as an IU fan. It is a down year overall and Edey is going to be a load for other teams. Not like a outside shooter than can go cold for a game. He is going to effect the game regardless and unless they get a ref crew that gets him in foul trouble .

IU is the first team EVER to beat the #1 team in the country with a 6’6” freshman PG with “Hood” in their last name and a Junior SG with the last name of Galloway!!! Are you as impressed as we are?
I can appreciate your enjoyment trolling IU, but until CMP gets to a FF I’m not sure it’s the best strategy to brag about Purdue’s roster next year on this board. IU generally recruits well so I doubt they’ll have an issue reloading next year.
Think Gerry McNamara and Carmelo were both starters as freshmen on a NC team. Oh wait, you're talking Purdue so you don't concern yourself with such matters!
What would put a dagger in the hearts of PU fans would be IU reaching the final four this year. 20 years of IU just dribbling off their dick. Purdue constantly under achieving in the tournament while reaching #1 in the polls this year and last. Then IU getting to another final 4 before them? Oh that shit would be GLORIOUS.

IU has 5 stars all the time but it hasn’t translated well lately - that’s why what Painter does with his players is so impressive to me. He has a great track record of developing talent. Next years team is stacked but you are right let’s see how Purdue does in the tourney this year first.
I do think Indiana will finish 2nd in the B1G and is probably the one team I would not want to face right now, or in tournament play. Do believe they have a legitimate chance of a final four run.
You may be correct on the 50% number - that's a lot of population and only 35% (ish) have been to college. But I've been to all 50 states and 41 countries in my career as an engineer and while sightseeing typically wear a Purdue windbreaker or pullover. I'm amazed at the number of times somebody says "Boiler Up" or my son, cousin, dad, mom graduated in some year. Way outside of the midwest and across oceans - it must be like 90% of the time.
Indiana is fortunate to have some world class institutions providing leaders around the globe.

Not at all - Purdue is 22-3. You have to look at the entire season not just a few games. When Purdue was #1 the rankings didn’t matter. Now that IU is moving up in the rankings they matter? Can’t have it both ways. Talk about overconfident posts - I see many on here saying you are gonna win the Big Ten now. Maybe - but I highly doubt it. I will confidently say you are not winning at Purdue.

Buford isn't allowed within 5,000 feet of me in real life. Technically, it is a violation of the protective order any time he contacts me on here. "No means no" isn't a concept that he understands. Personally, I don't think 10 years on the registry was long enough: there is a predator on the loose.
How much time do you have? There are special courts in multiple jurisdictions that have been set up just for Buford's perverted transgressions against society. There have been multiple laws named after Buford to protect unconsenting orifices everywhere: Buford's law 1, Buford's law 2, etc. I get a special notification on my phone whenever he gets within 5,000 feet of me: thank God for technology.

#11 Marquette, #13 Gonzaga, Iowa, Duke, West Virginia, beat Mich St and Penn St twice. Penn St kick butt Indiana by 19! Beat a Minnesota full squad at their place bye 21, IU squealed by depleted Minny by 4 after Minnesota led most of the game! Both lost to Northwestern, Purdue there and IU at home. Purdue beat Maryland at home and IU got butt whipped at Maryland. Purdue has won 11 games on the road or neutral site, IU has won 13 home games. Purdue is 6-2 on the road in the BT, IU is 3-4 on the road. Duke, Michigan ST and Ohio St both were in the top 25 when Purdue played them.
