Walker in Georgia

I'm not sweeping anything under the rug. The conduct of the camp counselors who reported to Warnock was reprehensible. I'm not aware of any credible evidence that supports the other allegations.

And I'm not a Democrat. I'm an independent who is anti-Trump and anti-2020 election deniers.

Walker is wholly unprincipled, reckless, irresponsible, prone to violence and utterly lacking in character. He is also, by his own admission, not very bright. He's uniquely unqualified for the United States Senate.
You mean the same Senate Joe Biden spent 36 yrs in?

It was an issue in the NY Senate race, and as you said voters made their choice. But it didn't seem to stick because her history of living elsewhere was mainly in some official capacity, and she hadn't been living in the neighboring state of New Jersey, or Connecticut for the past 20 yrs. They actually purchased their home in New York prior to leaving the White House. And they continue to live there...
There is absolutely nothing you won’t defend when it comes to prominent Democrats. HRC wasn’t from New York and never lived in New York until she moved there not too long before her Senate election. She was a carpetbagger. She was legitimately elected, but she was a carpetbagger.

I'll do Hershel:

According to most of the right wingers here, abortion = murder. So, either they don't believe abortion is murder so it's okay that he paid for two of his children to be murdered or Walker is guilty of murder.

Bottom line, it's more important for them to vote in a murderer than to actually have the Christian morals they so loudly preach.
You do Hershel every time you post so nothing new here

It never is for you guys. Ever.
And you want it to so, so much. But you reach instead . . .

. . . and have since Nixon resigned in the face of being impeached.

That's what this is about, right? Wanting to compete with Democrats using traditional GOP principles, and finding out you can't because voters just don't like those principles. So you compete by focusing on social and economic populism instead - appealing to voters' most base instincts - even at the cost of ruining the country. Socially, economically, and politically. So now we have the traditional GOP principles - including democracy, freedom of speech for everybody, and freedom of religion for everybody not just a select few - in tatters.

And as a result of all this, we have RINOs . . . as if the populists were really the GOP. They're not. You've sold your collective souls. I hope you find that it's worth it . . . I doubt that you will . . . you're addicted to the notion of collecting a voting majority, no matter the cost.

People change. Some people were pro-abortion at 20 and anti at 22. In college, I was rapidly pro death penalty. Now I’m not. before I conclude that Walker is a hypocrite, I need actual factual information rather than pure political tripe. Then again, I’m here at the cooler. It’s like searching for green beans in a lake.
See post #182 above. I've already addressed this. Walker's position is pure political expediency, not a principled position, no matter how much you try to defend it.

BTW, those are Walker's words I've quoted, not a hit job article.

Where do Clinton’s live now?

Don't forget to include an insult/complaint about a republican for every insult/complaint you make about a Democrat ;)

I reject your framing of the narrative and your attempt to wear the white hat.

C'est la guerre.

OK. I'll let others read the framing and your rejection. We'll see how the notion plays out. I would note that while you say you rejected the framing, you made no effort to deconstruct it.

So you're declaring war . . . s'ok with me. En guarde!!!! 🙃

Fetterman is the worst type of human. A leech who thinks he has a "right" to get money from people who actually work and earn to subsidize his feelz. He's EXACTLY the type of person we should not be sending to DC. Walker is mentally unfit. He shouldn't be a muni dogcatcher much less represent millions of people. But at this point neither matter. They are numbers. Numbers to a majority. So if you are a Dem who believes in Dem policies you MUST vote for fetterman. If you are a Pub you MUST vote for walker. You are voting to have a majority that will support your beliefs - not for either of these candidates. That's reality

Walker matters to me. He'd be my senator. I can't have a guy who shouldn't be a muni dogcatcher in that role.

To be clear, ideological warfare. We are discussing ideas not trying to kill each other.

Love your new style of comedy posting! Keep ‘em coming!

No, I wouldn't. I'd either vote for the alternative or not vote. Walker would not get my vote.
I understand your position and appreciate it. I would do the unseemly to promote the greater good as I perceive it under these circumstances

I mean this bowl. There are some truly undesirables running. Both sides are voting party to get a majority under these conditions. It is what it is. I get that logic

I covered that up above, most of us are not in GA so that doesn't enter our calculus. We hope an R or a D wins depending on who we support. Walker and Warnock being morons doesn't impact Indiana. They don't represent us. Outside of your state, you generally want people in charge in other states who are most likely to vote in what you believe are your interests the majority of the time.

For a Democrat in Indiana, a proverbial rock with a D on it representing GA is preferable to any R given how this government works today. Chuck, Nancy, McConnell, and McCarthy run the show with a few others for the most part. The majority of us are just deciding which of their agendas our representative will vote for.

Why do you say Warnock is a moron? I don't think that at all . . . and I'm in Georgia.

Honest question.

Trump is President. GOP controls House and Senate by a 50/50 tie. The GOP is discussing legislation that intends to end Social Security and has been discussing expanding the Supreme Court to 11 members whereby Trump will be able to pick the next 2 members. They announce plan to shutter the Department of Education, ban public teacher's unions, and enforce an "America is Exceptional and no counter opinion" Education plan on the country.

The D version of Walker is running in GA and you have maybe 2 other chances to break that 50/50 stalemate in the Senate and none of them are looking promising for the D's...but your moron in GA has a real shot to win.

You aren't pulling the lever for the D because he is an idiot with a questionable past? From your POV, is it more moral to take a loss that you believe will have a negative impact on the country as a whole because of one bad guy? I mean, I can see making the argument and no judgment, but I can also see the logic behind holding your nose and voting for the single turd to avoid what would be to you a huge pile of manure as the alternative.

Nope. I value the choices over party.

Now, that said, I did vote for Hillary in 2016 . . . to try to keep Trump out of the White House. I KNEW he'd be the disaster he's proven to be.

But your value of party over choices meant that Trump won. How'd that work out for you?

Neither of you gets shit, individually or collectively. You drink kool-aid, that's it. Even if it directly contravenes your personal interests . . . .
Lmao I haven’t seen you have a sound position on anything. Mr gov is great after following one author you like lol.

How’s Biden working out? You put your head in the sand and support all the gov bs. I remember your garbage about how great gov is during the pandemic debacle. Now we are seeing just how f’d these agencies are. Like we told you. But no. Your dumbass loves gov.

The attack on cops?

Jan 6 was a bigger attack on cops than anything dems have done.

Nice try

It wouldn’t be over party in Crazy’s example, it’s over policy. I agree with you if you’re voting for President, because the amount of power they have etc. I disagree if it’s for one senate seat that could block the other side from having complete control over all the branches.

Your politics is showing. I’m not defending him. I asked a question and you assumed I was defending. My question even left open the possibility I’d also conclude it was political hypocrisy - AFTER getting the fact(s) - which matter less and less here each day closer to the election.

I’ll have to assume you don't know the “when” and take your “why” for what it is.

Looks like if I was voting in this race in Georgia, I’d have to write in Abraham Lincoln.

Horsehockey.

Party = policy doesn't it? Isn't that the excuse used by Pubs here to vote for horrible candidates, like Matt Gaetz and MTG?

I still say candidate quality matters more than policy . . . because if you want the other side to get on board with legislation, then you have to do it in a way that doesn't compromise their electoral chances. Both ways.
