Absolutely ridiculous. Conservatives are the ones trying to dictate the way we live. From what books we can read, to who we can marry, to what we teach in schools, to what women do with their bodies. I just read an article about a bunch of conservatives trying to get a mural taken down in a school because there someone had a rainbow flag and other things they disagreed with. Talk about cancel culture. What a hypocritical post. Oh forgot, and some of them want to go after birth control. But live and let live, right?

And Pat Buchanan … I was a Republican , just because my parents were growing up. Then they started all the social issues and I quickly changed parties, as did my parents. I think that era was the beginning of the social wars. I didn’t know enough about economic policies, and I don’t think many people actually do. But I did know I didn’t believe in their social wars and discrimination they were preaching.
Because guess what, Danny, they aren’t cliches, they are true. How many examples you want to see? You guys cry about one or two examples of trans athletes or something and then ignore the policies that are the basis of the GOP right now.

As for selecting books for a school library, do you acknowledge age appropriateness as a method of selecting books in a school library? If so, you, too want to "ban" books from school libraries, don't you?
You also, no doubt want to "ban" books based on content unless you advocate the inclusion of Little Black Sambo in elementary school libraries?
This is exactly why I pushed back on the use of the word "ban" to describe what was happening with these curriculum and school library choices (e.g. Maus, which I read after it was supposedly "banned"). We now have adults blindly repeating and actually thinking that people are actively banning books. Ugh.

That has to be the saddest list of “prominent republicans” I have ever seen. I’ll admit I had to google pretty much every one of them. A collection of Lincoln project grifters who were absolute nobodies pre-Trump, hosts for daytime talk show “The View”, and cable news analysts/ contributors. Maybe about 5 years of actual government experience combined among the bunch.

Now on to the larger point: EVERYONE wants to limit what is read in school libraries and in school curriculums. That is not the same as "banning books." Banning books means you don't want ANYONE to read them or it means you will censor or punish those that do.
And liberals have been actively moving to remove classics from school libraries and curriculums, too--google Adventures of Huck Finn and To Kill a Mockingbird.
Pick one. I’m not spending an hour looking up stuff that is obvious to everyone, and easily googled.
