Dolson needs to make the move now. He doesn’t have to worry about losing a recruiting class. There isn’t one really. Burn it down now and rebuild, the roster next year will be a rebuild anyway. Might as well have an actual coach here for the rebuild.
Get on the horn and start working the back channels and make your short list. This has turned into a dumpster fire. Put the fire out!

Three 5- star players (2 are even in their 2nd year), who have been healthy most all season and we're going to finish under .500? CMW can take his lame excuses and shove them. Period. Time for him to go.

Rock bottom would be:

We lose out from here
Half or more starters leave
CMW stays but no portal home runs

Next yr could mirror one of CTC’s first couple yrs.

Scary thing is, that’s the exact direction this train is presently heading.
No, we're here at rock bottom already. None of those things you listed would boost or further hurt the spirit of the program from where it is right now already.

You don’t think watching CMW go 9-23 next year won’t inflict further damage? I don’t wanna argue, because yeah, this really sucks. But as difficult as it is to admit, it can get worse.

My bigger concern is that the head coaching position at IU is going to be viewed by many good candidates as a toxic mess, and the longer this goes on, the less appealing it will be for anyone we think our program is worthy of having. If the NIL money starts to dry up, the position won’t be as appealing as we’ve all fooled ourselves into believing it is right now.

Not at all because next year we know they'll fire him and help is in the way. Right now we know he needs fired but don't know if they will. So we have could have another season of awful basketball to watch. 1 win or 15, both are equally as awful to watch.

So right now is rock bottom.

The line about not risking a recruiting class is about as damning a thing you can say about Woodson (or any coach on the hot seat really). And totally true here.

You pay a Coach 4 million a year, they won’t give a sh!t how long the old Coach was there.

The last time a coach had lost the fans the way Woodson was when this happened (watched it live on tv and there was ZERO reaction from the crowd other than some delayed, half hearted, "What happened? Oh, BOO, MICHIGAN, BOO!") from what sounded like only a handful of people
