That’s ALWAYS been the biggest problem for me, is the group of people here that have pretended to know definitively what effects of vaxx vs not, like Courtsense‘s nonsense post above that I vaxxed allowed the disease to mutate. He may be proven right in the long run, but as of now he, nor anyone else knows enough to make claims like this. I respect your attitude about taking responsibility, BUT— in regards to the “data” from Africa—Life expectancy there is less than 60, so there’s not that many old folks around, and the majority of CoViD (or influenza) deaths are in the elderly.
Beware of drawing false conclusions about cause and effect when it’s merely coincidental, positive correlation involved…. They are also more likely to wear bones in their noses and and use grass skirts there. That doesn’t mean those will protect you from CoV.
Why would vaccinations cause the virus to mutate and not so called natural infections? Both are treated identically by the body when it responds to an attack.
We know Delta came from India last December where almost no one was yet vaccinated. We believe omicron came from southern Africa where vaccination rates are low. If vaccines cause mutations one would think Europe would be a hotbed.
We have long studied vaccine reproduction. We know how they mutate and have every reason to believe it is random. Some, like HIV mutate crazy fast which is why no vaccine was possible. Flu viruses, along with Sars-Cor-2 mutate slower. Smallpox almost never mutated.
From all we can tell it is all random. Now maybe viruses have an intellect and can control its own genes and thus can analyze human defenses and order specific genes to mutate in specific ways. But let us hope that is sci fi.

It's too politicized, for sure. All I want is to be able to balance the risks for me and my family. It shouldn't be so difficult to get the kind of factual information needed to do that. There needs to be a thorough, critical look sooner rather than later at how the CDC can do better next time.

Your response to reports of Trump followers booing him for advocating the vax was to claim they are not "brain dead sheep". I posted examples which imo illustrate that they ARE braindead, and booing anyone (not just Trump) who tries to save lives by encouraging the vaccine is a sign that the person doing the booing is Braindead.
