The Music Thread

I saw in a post up above that someone posted one of the Rolling Stones' new songs. I thought this one was interesting, if only because Paul McCartney plays bass on it.

I know Plant hates Stairway, but I have never seen the reason. It is a great song in my mind, but as you say, they have a lot of stuff that is great.

I have never heard a Zeppelin cover band, I assume they are out there. I should look.
You can get really sick of performing some songs. Also some songs are great to listen to but that doesnt mean they are fun to play.

Robbie was a very gifted songwriter. Here he captured the spirit of French Canadians, even though his own mother was of First Nations heritage while his birth father was Jewish. I loved this song the first time I heard it...

He stole all the songwriting credits. Helm worked with him on many of their songs but didnt get credit or the royalties. Robbie was a greedy thief.

I definitely get that. The song is not necessarily fun to play, unless you're a high school kid who just learned to play it and are showing off for chicks or something. (And no, I am definitely not referring to myself. My guitar lessons were a big bust.)
