People can complain about individual players all they want, but the issue lies with head coach and his assistants. The undeniable failure of Archie Miller to establish a culture, create a program identity and develop players cannot be disputed. Prior to Christmas, I was willing to listen to arguments defending Miller, but I'm no longer entertaining those conversations. There is simply no other direction for the university to go other than to cut ties with Miller and start over. However, it's time to seriously consider that the current state of the program may be just fine with the university, Board of Trustees and high-level administrators.
I, for one, am looking forward to hearing what the university's official response will be when the team finishes the regular season 16-15, gets bounced in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament and misses the NCAA Tournament.
