The administration is daring Congress to do something about anything and everything. Congress hasn't been up to the challenge fast enough . . . and we're still headed toward dictatorship as a result.
Toss in the predilection of the SCOTUS majority for unlimited presidential powers . . . for the moment I don't see how Congress gains enforcement of its subpoenas.
My sense is that Pelosi is playing a masterful game of the old chess matches engaged in in Congress. But that's like fighting the last war . . . .
My sense is that House Democrats need to bring something to a head soon, by picking one egregious occurrence and find a way to make that one stick. Otherwise, Trump wins the PR wars by default . . . he's normalizing horrible behavior while Democrats are dithering . . .
. . . and we're dithering here too. Trump wants us to complain about his behavior . . . all the while he doubles down and nobody takes out the trash.
