Go watch rfk Jr talking about the war machine. Why he doesn’t support that and why the old guard pubs are going Dem over it it
I followed them as closely as IU at the time. I knew every player same as I know every player for IU after a couple of games.
I loved watching them make that sweet 16 run and they were obviously coached as well as anyone in the country, but it just wasn’t the same for me.
Actually I think over time that’s kind of happened for all sports for me. I love watching a good game and I still attend a good number of football and basketball games, I’ve just stopped living and dying with games/sports.
I do love a good conversation about all time great teams and sports moments over some beers though

Why would you want a divided government? What policy ideas are worries another that he could get enough GOP votes to pass? I don’t understand why a conservative wouldn’t want all conservatives in Congress.

Are you kidding? Gridlock is ideal for conservatives. Nothing is more conservative than a government stuck in neutral. It's only reactionaries who want a GOP trifecta.
One exception I’ll make is border policy.
However, Trump would probably even have problems with Senate Republicans on that. I think the general consensus there was reflected in that (weak tea) Lankford bill.
Plus, he’d have to get past a filibuster. And there won’t be any Dems in favor of securing (and I mean actually securing) the border.
There’s almost certainly something to that.
It’s not an accident that it’s headlined by Cheney, Kristol, Frum, etc. These guys are primarily driven by foreign policy. And Trump is clearly more towards the nationalist/isolationist side.

On the other hand, Trump spent more on the military than the Pentagon asked for. So people thinking he is some Pentagon buster are wrong. He wants to spend the money, and let Putin have his way. Isn't that the worst of both worlds?
