Judge puts Trump out of business in NY?

C'mon man he enriched himself. The banks saying they would've given him the exact same loans and terms regardless of what he disclosed is irrelevant. He enriched himself!!!

This is worse than Watergate, 9/11, and Pearl Harbor combined.

These women prosecutors are a virus. Check out these lowlifes that committed first degree arson, who Fani Willis is letting walk with a $500 fine and probation.

Apparently her time is occupied with more important matters.

That case isn’t relevant to Trump’s in any way.

Keep in mind none of what Bartov said today is any different than the affadavits he submitted and his deposition prior to Judge Engoron's initial summary judgement. And the state will have their own oppty to prsent a rebuttal and call their own experts after Trump testifies on Mon.

I'm guessing Trump's team knows they are losing this case in the courtroom and a single win from their own expert witness, is not likely to reverse that treand and change Engoron's mind. But I'm guessing today was more about firing up the cult and getting the email donation dollars rolling in.

He’s also been paid $400,000 by the Trump team, with another $100,000 owed.

Correct. We've been trying to explain this to you for months. Glad you finally get it.
It's completely relevant. James keep saying he "enriched" himself because he lied about his property values. How did he enrich himself through lies if he would've been given the exact same loans even if he had told the truth?

He didn't lie btw. Those values he reported are likely very close to what his properties would go for on the open market.

Stuff isn't relevant just because you want it to be.

LOL at you adding real estate expertise to your legal expertise. You coming after COH for to HVAC expert now too?

The values might approach that if he didn't lie to an extreme about basic underlying facts, like square footage of the Manhattan apartment being off by a factor of 3.

I can argue that my McLaren sports car is worth $400,000, and maybe it would be if I had a McLaren, but it's problematic if I instead have a Honda Accord.

But your Honda Accord isn't world famous and something owned by the most famous person in the world and former President and something kings and queens have driven or stayed in. Those things add value we can't possibly calculate.

You can't value Trump Tower to a similar building down the block with the same sq footage that no one has ever heard of

The issue was with respect to him misvaluing his apartment, not the entire tower.

The lending organization is going to know if you are saying your skyscraper is 100 stories high when it is really 10 stories high. You can walk by on the sidewalk and know better.

But the lending organization is NOT going to know if you are saying your penthouse apartment is 30,000 square feet when it is really 5,000 square feet.

It speaks to a DA with bastardized priorities and an agenda. Letting arsonists in her own city walk free while bringing redundant cases against a federal employee.
She is not adverse to prosecuting criminals, including election thieves. What you see as "bastardized priorities' a lot of normal people see as protecting a sacred right to vote. Since she has previously gone after gangs involved in shootings/home invasions using the Rico statute, it's just nonsensical Trumpist rhetoric that she coddles criminals.

Many of us are horrified what might have happened if people that I disagree with politically like Raffensberger, Kemp and Geof Duncan weren't honorable men. Or worse yet if Trump sycophants had been in positions of authority where they could have been his accomplices in trying to steal the election. Nevada has just returned felony indictments against 6 fake electors, and hopefully if convicted they'll go to prison...

Another brave Republican and the target of death threats from a loon in Iowa, despite being in AZ himself is Clint Hickman.Again not someone I agree with politically, but someone who believes in democracy and not letting an autocrat steal the votes of the majority of voters in his state...

And yet Atlanta is another failed city wrt crime. As evidence by the one neighborhood in the city that produces any tax revenue try to be rezoned out of the city limits.

This dumb bitch has the gall to go after Trump when she has utterly failed to protect the people of Atlanta otherwise.

What a joke.

Banks are entitled to rely on written statements that a prospective lendee fills out and signs to be truthful. It's not the bank's job to determine if someone is lying. That's why you have to fill out and sign the forms in the first place...

IIRC 25 people have testified against Trump in this case. Including a supervisor in the underwriting division at Zurich. She said he qualified for much lower rates based on the fraudulent info he provided. So that is one way he illegally enriched himself, by paying lower insurance costs than he legally qualified for.

I've never heard you guys dismissively defend white collar criminals before. Suddenly because Trump is the offender you have a problem with punishing criminals?

You seriously think Trump is the most famous person "in the world"? When Trump is able to fill soccer stadiums in Europe, or similar facilities within the US with people actually willing to pay $100/per ticket, then maybe he'll be somewhere in the Top 25 or so. Filling high school gyms with people who get in for free doesn't exactly scream "famous" in comparison with various other celebrities...

Hell he appeared at the Erie Insurance Arena (9000 capacity) earlier this year and about 4500 people decided to sit thru his boring speech for free. By contrast the average crowd size of PAYING customers for the Erie Otters hockey games is 6500...

Check out the number of complete sections of empty seats... Yep he's a megastar...

Women shouldn’t be judges or prosecutors, amirite? Too emotional. You are a piece of work.

Trump is likely the most famous person in the world and rally attendance does nothing to refute that. Many in India, China and the rest of Asia likely have no idea who Messi or Ronaldo is.

What a dumb prickish thing to say. ( that’s the word I’ve been told is the equivalent. ) You really hate women, don’t you? You’re very Trumpish in that regard.

Phi Beta Kappa with a 3.98 GPA from IUB and top 1/3 of my class at Maurer. Passed the Indiana Bar on first attempt.
I think I’ll just read a few law books and take that bar exam. Must be a breeze. Is Indiana one of the states you can take the bar exam without graduating law school?

That’s what I thought, but his body of work suggests he isn’t. Or that he’s not a good one.
Sometimes people who were once quite smart, even brilliant, lose it, or at least lose it outside of their area of expertise.

One example, Dr. James Watson, co-discoverer of DNA's structure, became a bitter old woman-hating racist nutjob who believed every crazy conspiracy theory under the sun. A Nobel laureate nutjob.

What about Vivek? Harvard/Yale law grad in his 30s. Must have lost his marbles early.
