No shit. I'd like to see more stats from his coaching days, but after our recent coaches before Woodson, I sure wouldn't rule him out for head coach no matter whether Rabjohns approves or not.

That would have (1) been journalistically responsible, (2) been journalistically normal, and (3) eliminated any possible controversy as to whether Rabjohns knows what he was talking about (assuming he cares, which I don't assume).
Bailey you know that a program like Indiana, with news of an assistant being let go being as big as it was, stuff was going to come out. Fans are always demanding to knows details, whether it is injuries, curfew violations resulting in suspensions, etc. From all accounts, Fife only has himself to blame for this. I‘ve not heard from anyone, anywhere, that Woodson is anything but a great guy. If Fife somehow burned bridges such that Woodson couldn’t find anyway forward keeping Fife on the staff, knowing how it would look publicly, that’s a pretty damning indictment of how badly Fife was disconnected from the rest of the staff. I certainly wish the best for Dane and don’t think any less of him as a person or player, but the IU basketball program is bigger than any one player or coach.

It was never about him being fired I am fine with that. Would we like the rumors confirmed sure because I have never liked rabjohns and really to not trust him to be honest. I think he is a self serving loud mouth who usually just repeats what somebody else has already said. In this case he supposidly was told this information but I will never trust a thing he says as I think he is a clown. Now if it comes from a more reliable source then sure I would trust it but nothing out of his mouth is anything I would trust.

This is going to end up like the Knight firing. No matter how many wins Woody has some will carry this forward for years if not forever. We went to the national championship game the second season after Knight and still they persist. And before some say these were Knights players and he would have probably done better, we don’t know because it didn’t happen and there’s no way of knowing. U make those assumptions just as people r making assumptions on this situation.
Aren’t u making assumptions based on no facts just like we all r regarding everything that’s come out? Has IU or Rabjohns told u or anyone else that he had to put these things out? And let’s just assume you’re Rabjohns and they come to u with this. R u sitting on it if they threaten your access? If folks r honest with themselves they probably answer that they’d do the same thing. Maybe they wouldn’t like it but they’d probably do it.

Woody has nothing to redeem himself for. He’s the head coach and Danes boss. If he thought he was a problem and addressed it with him and it continued then it’s insubordination. Don’t know if any or all is true but Woody did what he thought was best for the IU BB program. For that I applaud him.
