I agree with Crazy on a couple things but mostly that using an algorithim or tool to decide coverage or confirm/deny treatment is a grotesquerie that should be stopped. It's out of hand.

I don't think this is anything anyone wouldn't expect a CEO of a major health insurance company to say to shareholders, but in light of recent events maybe doubling down on company pride in claim denial isn't what you should lead off with.

Now, I think we need to understand the methodology of the esteemed ValuePenguin. But, I believe the only silver lining of this event would be that we'll take a long hard look at our situation in America and figure out the stengths and weaknesses of our current system and work to adapt into a more efficient and beneficial system which views healthcare as, if not a right, than a pretty easy privilege to obtain.
I'm not confident we'll do any of that and we'll just continue bitching about woke, abortions, and guns. yay

PBS Frontline has a show I watched last night about the Lewistown ME mass shooter. Bottom line is that everyone knew he was nuts and thought he was dangerous, but no one (family, military commanders, police, medicos) were willing or able to intervene.
