CEO of United Healthcare gunned down in midtown Manhattan

Ha no shit?!
All they did to Collussus was rename it.

At Liberty it was L.E.T - Liability Evaluation Tool. Same thing.

I agree with Crazy on a couple things but mostly that using an algorithim or tool to decide coverage or confirm/deny treatment is a grotesquerie that should be stopped. It's out of hand.

You want to remove the human from the decision-making somewhat but yeah, going fully automated is not the way.

Yeah, nothing like trying to settle an injury claim with a $200 range to settle it with.

"Here is $1200...."

"Nah, that is too low."

"How about $1225?...."

The job was a mix between paying people who were full of it too much and not having the ability to really compensate people who trust deserved it. We had a little discretion to go outside of the Colossus range within our authority but you had to really explain it.

Yup. That world is a racket

Agree. The AI part is grotesque tho. Reminds me of the personal injury world. The insurance companies had this thing called Colossus that valued cases. Became a stupid game to circumvent it. Write therapist not chiro. Abrasion not bruise etc
They are earning their way to complete socialized medicine - if they survive the revolution.

On both sides, to some extent:

I think there is a fundamental misunderstanding in our ruling class as to just how bad things are at the moment. There have been some major issues that have basically been tabled for years now and problems unaddressed don't just go away. They fester and explode. We have a bunch of broken systems whose deleterious impacts are casting wider nets every few years. That will eventually have real consequences.
The only thing that has mattered since the night Hillary lost is the Trump/anti-Trump Insult Battle. 150,000,000 partisans treating each other like shit, seeing only the hypocrisy of "them" and "they".

The Electeds are not servants - they are Rulers - they are Elites - they are Inner Party.

The Average Administrative Agency Enforcement Agent is a power-corrupted SWAT-like robot.

But try and show up in DC and protest - see what happens. You will be arrested to stop another Coo - maybe shot if the Next Escalation has occurred and Pelosi is till there.

What were the serious problems that Luigi was facing?
