Are we just numb to news about Trump corruption, even convictions?

Quit judging do better. I don't care. Girls advertise their shit be ready for roi it is what it is. My signature has to do with one thing and one thing only and its not rocket science.
I'm not the one judging.
And, silly me...I thought we had evolved past "She asked for it." Oh, well.

Does anyone still do Hinkles? I'll never forget my first Hinkles. I was hung over and my buddy kept telling me go over there and grab a burger. Heaven. I need to go back.

I thought that I had wavy hair

I find that I have straight hair
And a very wavy head.

So in other words, another “religious“ hypocrite. You’ve shown us that before.

I do . . . but I worked at Mother Bear's, so . . . .

Apparently, it was in Breaking Away . . .

I love Breaking Away. Steve Tesich wrote the screenplay based on the 1962 Little Five that was dominated by Tesich’s frat brother Dave Blasé Blasé is the inspiration for the story and played the race announcer in the movie. I rode in the ‘62 race, we had no chance. On a training ride out to Morgan-Monroe Forrest, Blase caught up with me and we talked for several miles. Then he said”see ya” and took off like a shot

Most of the road scenes in the movie were routes I had ridden on and was very familiar with. In the mid 90’s I returned to Bloomington with my road bike to ride this routes. I couldn’t believe I rode those routes on the old one-speed Schwann that weighed close to 50lbs. Youth does have its benefits.

It seems like the extreme depths of the Trump swamp actually HELPS Trump.

He gets accused of wrongdoing, prosecutors step in, they find all sorts of other crap going on that they didn't expect, it takes years to get to the bottom of it, then they find like 17 felonies instead of 1.

But in that 2-3 year gap, people will have forgotten about it. Trump will have lied about it 1,000 times. Then they react to the 17 felony charges (or even convictions) with "so what, that old stuff, wasn't that from two years ago? We have moved on!"

Moved on past the next set of felonies. And the next. And the next. But... what about Hunter Biden's laptop!!!!!
DOJ definetly tried its best to avoid dealing with the laptop.

I lived in Columbus. Not a good college town. I hated Columbus
Really? Columbus Ohio? We just spent a weekend there a couple weeks ago for a cheer event. We loved high street. Martinis modern Italian a Cameron Mitchell restaurant was one of the best Italian restaurants I've ever been too. We're going back next weekend for another event and already have reservations again. We went both nights last time and going back. The veal chop, the veal shank...omg off the charts.

We stopped by the north market and definitely going back. That place had food from around the globe and it ALL looked good. Some places were sold out. Great stuff.

25 cent beers. Wasn’t the owner a football player?
Didn’t know the owner. I remember 25 cent beers there and at The Regulator. Somehow spent 20 bucks there one night. Big spender! ;)
The owner was former IU football player Carl Barzilauskus, who was drafted in the 6th round and played six seasons for the Jets.I knew it as the PB, but also remember it as Barzo's Blitz. I can't find anything under that name when I google, so maybe that was just a nickname we had for it. But it's the reason I knew it was Barzilauskus in the first place. According to google he still lives in Bloomington.

I shouldn't say that it has been so long. 25 plus years ago. I lived off high street. it was cold. miserable. i hated it.

Years ago

It was on the second floor of a building around the corner on Kirkwood and Indiana, by Sample Gates, across from Von Lee.
I think the most recent version of NR was what is now Wee Willie's West, at the shopping center in Ellettsville...I seem to remember there being a location out by the college mall when I was at IU in the early 70's...

I have a couple friends in the crowd scenes and my brother in law is on the sideline by the track too.

And St Louis is better? You haven't been back for 25 years? It was a pleasant surprise and a foodie potpourri for us. Go back.

My last game at the shoe was the Buffs and osu years ago. Never went down to high street though. The guy ( Cameron Mitchell) that owns most of the upscale restaurants in Columbus owns the ocean prime chain.

I taught at OSU for three years as XO of the NROTC. OSU’s campus doesn’t hold a candle to IU’s, but Columbus is a very nice city. My wife and I both enjoyed it and have discussed living downtown there after I retire. Probably more likely to go to Arizona now, but it’s still on the list.

Back then there was no comparison to Stl. I wouldn't know today. Columbus just felt like a big hick town. At that time columbus didn't have pro sports in any of the major sports. Stl had football, baseball and hockey. Our metro etc was no comparison to columbus. And i realize technically columbus was the biggest city in ohio but....

My uncle taught there too, Jack Heil, idk what he taught. I was a little kid but he always brought me osu garb which I appreciated coz I grew up around ND fans.

Arizona, lived there a couple times. Once in paradise Valley and once in Scottsdale. 80's 90's. The summers are worse than our winters. I can jog in the cold. You can't jog when it's over 100 at 5 in the morning. Wonder what it's gonna be like with the water situation moving forward. Phoenix is probably the most spread out miles of acreage I've ever lived in as far as a city goes.

Some of the apartments around downtown did not look cheap. Like super nice. We were impressed.
