i liked a lot of the food in bloomington for college town food. had far more eclectic options than most college towns, and certainly small towns. ethnic. bar food. lots of really great options. i ate burritos in that stone building across from the snow king or lion or whatever it was damn near every other day for lunch. i don't remember pizza being one of the good options.
I lived about 4 blocks away, on 3rd Street. Next to the Hillel House.
We have lots of families coming from NYC and even they rave about the food options in Bloomington.

I don't remember that. There was a big pizza place down from Nick's on the corner that I guess was a landmark. it was real cheap. The pizza was inedible. I think there was a fast food type pizza that wasn't bad that i ate most of the time. Pizza express or x or something. i think they had breadsticks. then i think lennys it was called was okay. but nothing great. the pizza was average at best in bloomington. stl is the same way. we really have shitty pizza. my daughter and i rate pizza and wings around town for fun. she keeps the scores on her phone. the wings here are better than the pizza. and i've gotten really into pizza. i wish we had good ny type
I do not. But that's a unique name. I had a trial years ago in cape girardeau missouri and they had a paglia's pizza that i ate at. I wonder if it's the same people. i was told it had been around forever in cape
I don't think it was a very big place and it really was just a rectangular slice of pizza kind of place. Not too expensive for lunch and tasty enough.
Bruce's was the dive of all dives. Never been to a place even close. Bomb 3 am breakfast.
That was one of my favorites. My roommates and I were broke in those days. They had one day all you can eat spaghetti, one all you can eat lasagna, one for ravioli. We wouldn't eat anything else those days and go there. Given how filling and cheap pasta is, they still came out ahead.
