I have a confession to make: I’ve never seen that movie.
But based on that clip, I will be watching it this week. That is brilliant.
Speaking for myself, if he sinks that spy ship and it's escort that is providing Intel to the Houthis as is being reported may happen, I will be satisfied with the initial response.
I think we all fall victim to this, myself included, we have to change other's minds. Buzz used to make a big deal that this place wasn't for that. In reality, no one is going to vote for Biden or Trump because of anything I post, CO posts, you post, Jesus Christ Himself comes here and posts. It isn't going to happen. The hard part is remembering that. But we get in modes we treat this as a war to be won, it ain't.
It is typical for them. You just got the main message of the movie in that clip but there is a bunch of over the top nonsense humor to get you to that point. If you like their "South Park" type of humor you will probably enjoy it.
(Full disclosure, when the movie came out there is a particular scene in it that had myself and my friends cracking up in the theater. When they released the unrated version we had to watch again to see what else they could have possibly added that had to be cut.)
and i'll use this as another segue to ATTACK BIDEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! after trump we all suffered from trump fatigue. just the combative, divisiveness of him was a lot and many i think supported biden with the hope, actually expectation, that he was going ot be uncle joe and a calming bridge to the next president. instead, for us conservatives, he was just hte other side of the coin from trump in embracing the progressives who are every bit as combative and judgmental and shaming and in your face as trumpers, as well as constantly calling out "maga republicans" and his hitler looking background speech blah blah blah. so i have little hope with a biden/trump 2024 election we will see any improvement. perhaps haley was our only hope in that respect, but i don't know. things aren't going to get better any time soon unfortunately

I agree that no matter what Biden does he will be criticized. Two reasons, first his hapless ME and Iranian policy is a substantial cause of the turmoil and bloodshed, second, he is obsessed with not escalating.
Biden is receiving pressure and heckling from the left to clamp down on Israel and stopping the claimed Israeli genocide. The Iranians see this and are taking advantage. Biden does not respond with strength and resolve. Blinken and Austin compound the problem with their public comments.
Biden keeps talking about backing Ukraine for “as long as it takes.” His “Don’t” policy regarding Iran isn’t working. Iran “did” over 160 times and Biden dawdles.

Attacking Biden for publicly saying we would retaliate isn't the natural result of losing patience with an incompetent administration. It's pure partisan dipshittery, nothing more.
I was referring to the fact that he's in a supposed "no win" scenario. He's already been blamed by the right for being soft and allowing the ME to escalate into the shit show it is. Continued warnings didn't do anything to deter countless drone strikes and shipping attacks.
If he actually does something aggressive militarily to respond, the left will call him out and he'll lose the support he needs desperately in November.

Yes it is. Biden has done nothing significant to respond to the 160+ attacks. More talk doesn’t do anything. Carry out a very significant attack then talk. People will then listen.

There is a difference. On the one hand is the concern that Biden can't please everyone, so someone is bound to be upset. Fine. But on the other is the concern that certain people are determined to criticize him no matter what. Ultimately, the criticism is not rooted in whether or not Biden's actions deserve critique; it is rooted only in the fact that he is Biden. That is what caused Marv to finally throw up his hands in despair.

Don't you think, if he was capable of doing so, if Biden acted more authoritatively from the beginning, things would be different? He was slow to respond post October 7th. And ever since, he's been playing from behind vs. taking control.
