Economic hellscape -- I wish everyone would read this

From everything I have ready around 50% of all abortions happen around 7-8 weeks or before.
I understand, but the point remains. There are women out there who wont discover that they are pregnant till 8 weeks.
"Overall, 36% of these pregnant people took their pregnancy test at 6 weeks gestation or more and 21% did so at 7 weeks or more."

Many forms of birth control are 90 to 97% effective, but as Hugh Grant so famously said in the movie Nine Months, "So 3% bloody ineffective, they should put that on the box!" So a woman could be on birth control, still get pregnant, have a light period the first month (yes, absolutely, you can still have a small period when you are pregnant. There is also something called "implantation blood" which can sometimes be mistaken for a period), then find out at 8 -9 weeks that she's pregnant.

Sorry about you luck sweety. Nothing you can do about it. Law says 7 weeks....

Oregon Impressions

Short week.
Letdown game after a huge win.
Traveled 3 time zones.
GOt out on them 21-0 pretty quickly.
I agree. Most teams have off weeks except for Cignetti coached teams.

With that being said, I am more confident that if Ohio State were to play Oregon in a neutral site, they win that game. Not to take the Oregon win away as all factors (including home field advantage) are part of the game and they had the game at home.....but I still think OSU is truly the best team in the country if I were a betting man. Oregon #2. Georgia 3 and Texas 4. This is why I said if we go into the Shoe and somehow miraculously win......our expectations would need to shift to a place we never could've imagined.

IU Football is in good hands. Good hire*

I’d like it to be before that. That would be a brutal environment to drop him back into. He needs to real speed action beforehand.

That would be three weeks, after WA, MSU, and the bye. Depending on the injury, he very well may have the bye week to get back into game shape.

Tayven was impressive in the second half yesterday, much better than what I saw from him last year. Good coaching and a good system that puts players in a position to succeed and plays to their strengths will do that.

Some Thoughts On Our Whosiers

Yeah, they have some entertaining podcasts that i was watching on YouTube last night. They seem like nice guys, just in shock over Indiana being this much better than them. I think some of it is that now have "coach envy" and they want Cig.
On social media it is a given Cignetti is getting hired by Oklahoma, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, USC, and Michigan in the off-season.

Rourke Out

Post-game radio show...Cig said Coby's drop there in the 4th (which shoulda been a TD...PERFECT pass) was the first drop we've had all year. Unbelievable.

And it's better than just "non-drops", these dudes are making incredible catches in tight spots. 👍
I think it was the second. Sarrat had one last game or the game before unless they somehow ruled it wasn’t but it was right in his hands.

BuffaLouie’s

We'll go down to Holt's every once in awhile for the breakfast buffet.

First time we went down, daughter was like 7, and when we pulled up, asked if there would be "any farmers in there?".

Walked in, and 85% of the crowd was old guys in overalls and snapback hats with some machinery supplier on them. 😄
Better to eat with farmers than quarry rats the size of their hats.

Hoosier Hysteria Clips...

Not a chance pal. Not a Woodson cheerleader either. I just don’t turn every single thing into a gripe like a spoiled teenager. Many of you have already shown your ass.. but jumping to conclusions about this team based on a 12 minute intersquad scrimmage is another piece of evidence that you know nothing about basketball.
12 minutes? We’ve watched his teams the past 4 years..

Early Voting

So my wife and I went to Bedford and voted early. Democrats and Republicans both in the room. Had to show valid drivers license to vote. It was checked against your registration.

Here in Bton, I was in and out in ten, maybe fifteen minutes. The longest time I spent was at the very beginning, where the old gal spent a lot of time eyeing my ID and signature.

Why do democrats fight against Voter ID?

The objections by most are lame, but the devil is in the details. Shooter mentioned the situation with the natives on the Rez. Others I've heard are that in TX(?) a hunting license is good but a student ID is not.

Mainly, the sane objections come down to it being a solution to a problem that doesn't exist and it creating more hoops for everyone to jump through, including the election workers. The setup that they have at the voting station here in Bton to do the whole ID verification thing has to have cost a bunch.

Saban on CCC shot with Memorial Stadium background

Honestly, other than live games, the only "show" I watch on ESPN...every Saturday...like clockwork. LOVE it.

Usually even tune in around 8:30 or so during the end of SportsCenter because it's already usually pre-GameDay.

I'll switch over to BigNoon occasionally...even B10 Tailgate, just to see the scene.

B10 Tailgate's like that cool Indie band that comes through to the Vogue or White River...

BigNoon's like Foo Fighters or Weezer at Deer Creek or Banker's Life...

GameDay's like having the Eras Tour...or (now) Oasis coming to Lucas Oil. 😄

Oregon Impressions

Only one game and perhaps the Ahia game would have been a better one to judge, but I wasn't all that impressed in their last game.

I thought their pass game was as good as ours as well as their pass defense.

Their running game looked nowhere near where ours is and their run defense was easily manipulated by Purdue spreading the field and going one on one.

Good team vs a bad team but #2? If so, we are awfully close to that.

Still no excuse for taking 4, 5, 6, or 7 days. California might count for 10. No excuse for any state to not have all ballots counted by noon on Wednesday.

I suppose if they throw a shit ton of people and hardware at it you would be right. Going by how it's handled in Indiana, the ballots would have to be removed from the envelopes, manually unfolded and flattened, and run through the scanner/tabulator. All that after the polls close. Then and only then are the votes counted. On election day, the voter feeds the ballot into the scanner directly, and the vote is immediately counted.

Harris vs. Trump 2024

What's the demographics? How skewed is it toward males?

Crypto ownership is pretty heavily skewed toward males: Approximately 52 percent of male respondents say that they have invested in blockchain and cryptocurrency assets, which is double the rate of female respondents at 26 percent

Polymarket may be more Trump leaning just by being so male-oriented
It isn’t a poll, though. They are betting. Different beast.

Rourke Out

The best possible outcome from this injury is that Tayven keeps us winning until Rourke is back, and then is able to build on that for next season. If he is good enough that the coaches don't feel they have to buy another QB in the portal this offseason, then this could be looked back on as a good thing. It also shows Cherry that your time will come if you stay patient and keep improving daily. Coach Cig hit a grand slam with Rourke, but that will get more expensive and be hard to keep repeating. If Tayven and Cherry can man the QB spot for the next 4 years, our NIL $$ will be able to get spread further. That's my glass half full take on Rourke's injury. I think we win Staurday with Tayven, but I worry about going to play Sparty without Rourke. Make me a believer Tayven!

I was viewing the MSU game as a gimee a couple of weeks ago, but they look to be improving....especially the QB, who has physical talent.
