Why The Democrats Lost/Why The Democrats Think They Lost

A Brit offers some wider perspective and why people keep getting their predictions wrong:

Possible. I think it’s more likely when citizens are told by the media the economy is great repeatedly, but they know that can’t afford shit anymore…the are like, f@ck you guys. You’re all liars. It’s why the legacy media is dying.

Is it too soon for the 2025 coach thread?

If by some means we are in the market for a new coach next year, my money would be on Pearl.
I’m doubtful that we’ll be shopping for a new coach. While some feel that our boosters spending top 5 money puts pressure on MW to perform, I’ll fade that opinion and say the job pressure is now entirely off of him.

They spent so much money that it is assured he’ll be back. This team is making the NCAAs even if the wheels fall off.

Indiana/Ohio State Prediction Thread

One suggestion, guys. There is a wide range of possible outcomes at the 'shoe this weekend and Saturday's game, for me, is the toughest pick since the UCLA game. I know there's a temptation, particularly this week, to go with "my heart says [Score A] but my head says [Score B]." Your call as to whether to go with your head or your heart, but try to go with just one score prediction. Let's have some fun with this and see who among us is Nostradamus.

Here's my prediction:

IU 27
OSU 23

Go Hoosiers!
IU 21
OSU 17

OSU is putting a lot of pressure on themselves to win this game. "A must win"; "A loss and we're out", etc. Per Cig and players, it's just another game, with same process as usual. In my view, too much pressure for their QB to handle.

Coach Woodson is the man for the job

you guys were all crying when Pope was hired. give us a break.

and no need to come here and rip on iu bball. we have plenty of that already from our own.

UK has as much chance of reclaiming its glory days as IU does.
I respectfully disagree UTFO. I love IU, but Kentucky has a much better chance of getting back to the top of the mountain than IU.

Kentucky has shown they simply care more about basketball the last 2 1/2 decades than IU.

Hope Woodson and IU has a great year!

Question on the parking situation:
Coming in from the north side down 315, any recommended lots north of the stadium?
Somebody recommended a lot at CAS chemical plant for an easy 15 min walk along the Olentangy River?
I would personally take 315 to Ackerman. You won’t be on Ackerman very long. To your left will be gameday parking. It’s a walk but it’s very easy to leave. You’ll walk past all of OSU’s sports facilities. When you get to the Schott, that will be Lane Ave. Bars and restaurants will be there. Gameday is usually set up outside French Fieldhouse. So when you’re on Lane, you’ll see the Riverwatch Ozone 97.1 the fan tailgate (beer trucks, bands etc) head directly south and you’ll run into French Fieldhouse and St, John arena. Big Noon will be set up on the south side of Ohio Stadium. (The open end).

Which Hoosier on our roster has the best shot

Ballo is the best true center in the Big Ten by a wide margin, if they go by positions and not just the top 5 players. His only competition really is Ivisic for Illinois and Bittle for Oregon, but it's too early to tell. Dawson Garcia is probably the best player capable of playing center, and maybe Owen Freeman if he keeps this up, but Ballo is really the only proven true center right now.

But Mack probably has the best chance to make the All-B10 team because I think he can keep up this 20+ ppg pace.
