Wonder how the Democrats are going to try to spin this boondoggle?

It seems like the article itself states the Democratic position.

While we strongly support innovative clean energy solutions and recognize the urgent need to transition away from fossil fuels, this failed horrible project demonstrates that not all renewable technologies are created equal. As many on the left noted for YEARS, this project as designed would destroy an irreplaceable pristine habitat and decimate many threatened plant and animal species.

As an independent, I also recognize the urgent need to transition away from fossil fuels and support investments in technologies that can make that possible. But we don't know yet what are the winning solutions. I'm a big fan of nuclear. Among other green options, solar, wind, and geothermal are all not one size fits all options, but each can work in particular locales. Hydrogen fuel cells vs. EVs vs. hybrids, what wins? Like a big company donating to both candidates running for office, maybe you invest in more than one place, knowing that one or more will fail and that you don't know upfront which one will win out.

As an independent 🤣🤣🤣. You’re left of the squad Sybil

Running around town wearing Tim walz t-shirt is an independent echoing everything we hear from AOC
I know some real independents like my wife. They don't vote democrat 100% of the time. But I guess there is always a first as in the first independent who always vote democrat! I think there are a couple on here who claim they are not democrats but sound to the left of bernie sanders.

Means zero. Nothing. We read your insane woke garbage. Your endless self loathing about being a white male. Only the wokest of the woke feel that way. Maybe at one time you were a conservative but your brain broke

What is the deal he does not like being white?

Nope, 2020. Great pandemic exercise.

I rode 31 miles on Sunday morning, burning 2,050 calories. Top speed 27.6 mph. I'm loving my new light 2-wheeled recumbent. Easy to keep up with non-recumbents. I passed a few E-bikes, even.

Yeah, but you have been training for this all your life...

Recumbents are for sissies. Like being a vegan, sooner or later every recumbent rider lets you know they ride one.

They are certainly a smile machine. Much of my ride Sunday was along the beach.

Every 5 minutes as I go by a crowd...
-some kid says "Wow, Dad, what's THAT? It's amazing!
-multiple adults smile and wave with a look that says "wow, that looks fun... I ought to try that!"

Then there's the benefit of no back/neck/wrist/butt pain, at all, the day after a 30+ mile ride.

I still have a conventional bike. I still rent them sometimes on vacations. But if the ride is more than 30 minutes I am quickly reminded of my neck and back fusion surgeries that made me give up biking 10 or so years ago.

Only an asshole would mock you for making a necessary adjustment to your exercise regimen following spinal surgery.

We had similar experiences riding a tandem. Everyone from inner city street people to motorcyclists, to horseback riders usually smile and waive. Often they ask ‘who pedals the hardest?”. My answer; “the dumb one.”
