That is a fair point. My one question, do we know if staff at the Court are receiving threats. If they are, it is a concern. If a group started targeting the White House Chef with threats, I bet they would get protection.

There is another bill to stop doxng the federal courts. Paul is holding it up to get lawmakers added. I guess the question in both cases is, are we dealing with an emergency where we should take what we can get now, or do we have time to discuss how far these things need to go? I'm not sure we know the correct answer right now.

I have not heard of the staff getting threats. If it is happening, perhaps that could be revisited. What we do know is that there are protestors at the houses of some SC Justices and someone was apprehended last week with the intent on assassinating one of them. The decision these folks are worked up about will release sometime in the next few weeks. It would probably be a good idea to get some increased protection for all 9 justices because any of them could be at the risk of increased threat depending on how this case is decided.

I don't think they will ever find it. Someone using a burner phone using just a few safeguards would be hard to find. Buy the phone a couple of months in advance, out of town using cash. I think it is good to increase their security. They already have a detail, and their immediate families were added a month ago. That's all good, and I suspect it can be increased.

I used to have unkind thoughts about the Wesboro Baptist protestors. I wanted to see them beaten ala the Selma protestors and see if they had the guts to show back up. I believed they lacked the courage and character of the MLK movement.

I don't think anyone is telling you they're telling the truth. I think they're just saying that the people who, up to a point, were carrying water for Trump are all now confirming what we now expected. I don't think anyone who disagreed with him before is clamoring to give Bill Barr the award for greatest Attorney General ever. Nor are people rushing out to buy China-made Ivanka purses in solidarity.

It's kind of similar to if Matt Painter was found to be cheating, every other fan base knew it, but everyone in West Lafayette defended him to the hilt. Then you have Robbie Hummel and Isaac Haas come out and say 'yeah, Matt was loading us up with hookers and blow.' No IU fan is going to start saying Robbie Hummel was one of their favorite all time players.

I certainly don't want any SCOTUS Justices threatened, or even worse killed. But the same folks on this board who basically dismissed right wing parents threatening/harassing teachers and school board members over masks and CRT suddenly go apoplectic when a right wing judge is threatened. Kavanaugh was threatened 2 yrs after multiple people were forced to move and their families threatened, but you guys only cared when it happened to Kavanaugh? The hypocrisy is palpable...

I wonder how much more $$ Kavanaugh makes for the "risks" he faces compared to these folks?

Yet despite KNOWING the truth, Trump continually referred to Ruby Freeman over 18 times in his JANUARY call to Raffensperger. And what's even more disgusting, people on this board posted that video and echoed the claims of both Rudy and Trump, and I'd almost be willing to bet those posts were AFTER the time Trump knew it was all a lie...

I saw a tweet earlier saying that under oath, some of Trump's senior advisors have admitted they knew and told him that the election wasn't stolen and have described him as 'crazy,' 'detached from reality,' 'bullshit,' and 'nuts' and not one of them felt compelled to speak up during his second impeachment.

To further hit the point home, these people aren't being lifted up as heroes, they're still scumbags. The only difference now is that they're trying to save their own asses and not commit perjury.
