I'll denounce it if it can ever be proven, hell leaning that it's simply ineffective.Holcomb signed a bill today banning all gender-transition treatments for minors, even with parental consent. Not much he could have done, since a veto would have easily been overridden. But taken in the context of what people are saying in this thread and elsewhere, I think one thing we can all do is just drop the canard that any of this is about protecting parental rights. Most of one party think that trans people are gross and icky and wrong, and they don't want to allow it, no matter what doctors or parents say.
History may even prove them right, but let's at least be honest about what's happening.
So far the results have been astounding and the group who is going through it along with their parents are asking for it.
This to me is like if a teenage girl had such a messed up, disfigured nose that she was constantly called 'The Elephant Girl' in school and she wasn't allowed to get a simple nose job because of politicians.
Or a teenager wanting breast reduction surgery.
An argument could be made that teenage mastectomies are similar (even though the threat is cosmetic for trans vs malignant).
The dangers have not been confirmed while the results are pretty incredible.
Any of those two flip and I'll be the first to denounce it.
