Walker in Georgia

FYI: Its a HERSHEL WALKER thread and not some China thread.

It reminds me of the times whenever folks get pissed off at me, the first thing they bring up would be insults based on my race.
Nobody would even know your race if you didn't throw it in everyone's face.

I've not seen anyone insult you based on your race.

So the test here is how hard you can wave the flag?
Thought freedom of speech was the ability to say what you think is the truth and not the loyalty test?

As I said before, binary choices are for the uninformed and for easier manipulation. The world is primarily grey and not one side or another.

But I guess I was wrong. Then let's what the WC is; a simplistic gathering of two and a half tribes on the pretence of some intellectual discussion with a huge dollop of chest-beating nationalism.

Next on the agenda, book burning?

Twenty, I am disappointed in you.

The fact that the Simpleton's natural response to my posting of Hershel's related tweet was about my race, Chinese and 'natural' my support of the CCP. And you didn't notice it?

In some circles, this would be considered racist.

Its par for the course for the likes of Jet, Cray etc. I had expected more from you.

And you wonder why the attacks on Asians have increased by 220+% in the last 2 years.
You whine about racsim when you you've went on racist rants about Indians?

Puh-leaze.

When all else fails & faced with irrefutable facts, scream racism & xenophobia…
He's one of the biggest racists on this board. He's been chastised by Goat for his racist rants against Indians.

How have people insulted you based on your race?

Is it because some people have labeled you a communist or CCP sympathizer? Or something else?

Give me a break the so called moral outrage all the lefties on here claim to have would be a mute point in he was a democrat. Guys like bowlmania would not blink an eye if Walker was a democrat they would be dead silent and they know it. They are just mad the gop has not folded and thrown Walker under the bus like they used to do 10 years ago. As I have said if liberals really cared about this kind of stuff they would never have let BIll Clinton off the hook for his dozens of affairs and possible rape but they did and had no issue with it. Fake moral outrage is pathetic.
Do you know ANYONE who has put a razor blade to their wife's throat, then later put a gun to her head, runs on a platform of Christianity and anti-abortion but has participated in 3 himself? Anyone you know have their own therapist turn them in to the police because he was so unhinged and the police in TEXAS no less, had to take his weapon from him? Here is a list before yesterday's new one.

  • Cindy Grossman — Walker’s ex-wife — has long claimed Walker was abusive and threatened to kill her while they were married, and has alleged Walker held a razor to her throat and, in a separate instance, a gun to her temple.
  • A friend of Walker’s ex-wife claimed Walker threatened and stalked her in Texas in 2002. A police report obtained by CNN showed the woman told the police that the former Georgia Bulldog had been following her, and had previously made “threats to her” and had “her house watched.”
  • Another police report obtained by the Associated Press revealed police in Irving, Texas had to confiscate Walker’s handgun after his therapist called 911 for his “volatile” behavior, scaring his ex-wife Grossman, and mentioning “having a shootout” with police.
  • An ex-girlfriend told police in 2012 that Walker threatened to kill her after she tried to break up with him, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution. The allegations detailed that Walker threatened to “blow her head off” and then kill himself.
  • Another ex-girlfriend alleged Walker paid her $700 for an abortion in 2009, according to the Daily Beast. To support her claims the unidentified woman shared a $575 receipt from the abortion clinic, a “get well” card from Walker, and a bank deposit receipt that included an image of a signed $700 personal check from Walker.
  • One of Walker’s sons, a popular conservative social media star Christian Walker, came forward in a video he posted on Twitter, saying Walker committed “atrocities” against his mom. He also alleged he has been an absent father to his four children.
  • In October, a second woman, identified as Jane Doe and represented by big time attorney Gloria Allred, accused Walker of pressuring her to get an abortion and giving her cash to pay for it. “[Walker] was very clear that he did not want me to have the child,” Doe said in an interview with ABC News. “And he said that because of his wife’s family and powerful people around him that I would not be safe and that the child would not be safe.”

This is how dumb people are. They don't realise things when it's told to them. Have you ever lived as a minority before in your life? Based on your ignorance, I doubt so otherwise, you would know what it means, the signals etc.

And sadly not learn. There has always been a fetid odour and yet most folks don't realise it or worse, choose to ignore them.

I have known people who had to sit at the back of the bus because of the colour of their skin. Its a society that was built o the backs of racism and yet most choose to whitewash the past.

So systematic racism isn't a thing of some ancient history. It is quite recent.

It's only the 'majority' race that doesn't see the signals since they are so used to a particular way of life. It's no wonder they hate 'diversity' as it affects them now.

This is the level of ignorance I have had to face for most of my life.

Its like when the first insult someone thinks of is based on your race -- with strangers, this would be 90% of the time.

Or in this case -- has anyone here been accused of being a CCP sympathizer? Is there any other Chinese person here?
And the kicker -- I was posting about HERSHEL WALKER and the CCP comment came back up again.

Explain his this is related?!

You are smarter than that Brad... I hope.

I said I didn't see any racism toward you.

You went on some rant about racism in general. Which means you can't come up with any examples of racism against you on this board.

I was a minority, of sorts, in Germany, as an American soldier. We were easy to pick out, with our short haircuts in the early 70s. There were many forms of subtle anti-Americanism - I won't call it racism, but it was bias - that we experienced. So I have some idea of racism, in general.

Yes. Thats exactly what racism was all about.

Now, go insult some more Christians - it's your thing.

When did white men get all so insecure? I don't remember ever being this bad in the past.

And btw I offered to insult Islam, and Hinduism too but you failed to mention that in your Victim card-carrying wallet.

When did minorities start to be so racist?

Right. This is precisely why racism still is prevalent. Its because of ignorance like this.

Thank you for providing the exhibits. Keep commenting, please.

You are just making a fool out of yourself Danc.

And the sad thing is that you are not willing to learn from others and will lead the rest of your life in ignorance.

Sad.

Insulting your sympathetic take on the CCP & frequent criticism of the US is in no way racist. You have been challenged to provide examples of any racism directed at you & have not done so. You have made your race an issue here, not me or anyone else that I have seen. Put up or shut up.

Also, I didn’t know you were Chinese, & I don’t care as it has no bearing on the conversation. I assumed you were some creepy white guy bragging about his alleged conquests of Asian women all of the time.

Do you think it might have something to do with the fact that as an American GI you represent a military presence that occupied their country? That and Vietnam were issues primarily driving any anti-American sentiment in 1970s Germany...

It's not that Germans are incapable of being racist or xenophobic, because they definitely can be. But for you to insert yourself as "victim" because people objected to US political stances reeks of self importance and delusion.

If you were a Black GI (or African national) or a Turkish immigrant I could easily see and agree with your claim. Skin color, religion, social status are all elements where Germans have been known to discriminate, and examples of what I personally witnessed in 6 1/2 yrs of living there. As cultural tensions have increased I'm sure things have gotten worse, esp in the wake of the rise of far right Fascist elements and even neo-Nazis...

But to maintain that you were discriminated against due to your "short haircut" and use that to exemplify being able to relate to "minority status"? I guess I shouldn't be that shocked. It's actually pretty typical of the type of "reasoning" you employ...

Well, no shit. That was my point, but I guess you feel the need to act like it wasn't.

I never said I was a victim of racism, but of discrimination. I was there - you were not, so you don't know shit about it. Stop pretending you do.

You must really be scraping the bottom of the barrel to find anything in my post worth commenting on. I was describing my experiences as someone who has been discriminated against. Not being served in a restaurant is the same in Germany as it is anywhere else.

Actually since you said Germany in the 70s, I WAS there since I arrived in 1979, which is at the tail end of the decade but still qualifies as the "70s"...

We may not have been in the exact same area, but it's precisely because I WAS there that I answered your ridiculous post. I actually lived in the German economy with German landlords and had German supervisors and co-workers when I worked for AAFES. So I'm as qualified as anyone to speak on the subject of German/American relations since I interacted with both the US Military and the German populace on a daily basis...

And I never said that you claimed you were a victim of racism, just that you tried to claim "minority status"... So please don't try to put words in my mouth...

Back to the actual subject of the thread...

Imho, this article is far more cautionary and milquetoast than the actual situation. I don't want to become the opposite equivalent of bailey777, the ftw guy, dbm etc... who were all nonsensically predicting the Red Wave.

I get it, it's Politico and they have to maintain impartiality and not go out on a limb... But let's just say it would be a YUGE upset if Herschel were to win. And now he's got to hope people who would already have to hold their nose to vote for him are going to be willing to trudge thru the rain to do so...

You weren't in the military, although I'm sure you're an expert on he military experience, too.

You ridicule the fact we had haircut regulations. Did you? If not, WTF do you know about my experience?

Just shut up and sit down.

I haven’t seen any comments about the latest revelations about Walker on here. Does that mean we have become desensitized completely about how corrupt our politics have become? The bottom line is that the Georgia senate race is too important in the fight for senate majority. There is no line that can’t be crossed.

Walker has been credibly accused of abusing his ex-wife and son in the past, including holding a gun to her head. He has been caught in numerous lies about his education, children out of wedlock, career experience, and now a very credible accusation that he paid for an abortion for a former girlfriend.

There is no debate about Walker’s lack of character or his inexperience and a void of qualifications. The only thing that matters is that the senate majority could come down to this race.

I’m not so naive to think this hasn’t happened before or that it has only happened in the Republican Party. What is disturbing is that there is no shame in the actions. It’s not personal. It’s just business.
I go back to George Carlin's observation: think about how stupid the average American is and then think that half of them are dumber than that.
