Yes, that, and both Henderson and JJ were quality 10 year NBA players, did much more in college for their teams, and it didn't take them 5 years. Dude is nuts, I'd argue Newton might be better than TJD if given the minutes and focus on him

TJD is an outstanding player (who has played on some bad teams) and would have been a major contributor on any era IU team.
There’s a very real chance after 4 years he’s career top 5 all-time in the B10 in points and rebounds (would be the only such player in history), and outside chance he finishes top 5 in blocks as well. He comes back for a 5th year? Look out.
He will easily lead IU in most blocks ever after this year, passing Newton.

226 rebs to move into the top 5 B10 all-time (had 284 last year, 243 and 270 the prior two years)

As long as he doesn't get injured, TJD will be the only player in the history of the B10 to finish top 10 all-time in career points, rebounds, and blocks and has a legit chance at finishing top 5 in all 3 categories. I seriously don't get understand some of the hate TJD gets.

We get to a final four, they will make a statue for him. Winning is everything. He has never made it to the round of 32, that needs to change for fans to gush over him. One thing I do like about this fan base, high standards.

Come on. Jeffries left after his Sophomore year, was a lottery pick, and had an 11 year NBA career. Henderson was 16th pick and had a 12 year career in the NBA.
Both of those guys were better than Trayce at this point in their careers. That isn't a knock on Trayce, those are just two really good players.

Except Pistol Pete didn’t have a 3pt line but routinely shot from (and made from) well outside of what is the modern 3pt line. Had he had a 3pt line, Pete’s point total would be much higher.
Maravich averaged 40+ per game all 3 years and was barred from playing his freshman year due to NCAA freshman eligibility rules. A 5 year player might eclipse Maravich but he'd have to average 20/game for 5 straight years.

Did you just say TJD is better than JJ cause JJ couldn't shoot outside 3 feet?!? Jefferies was a great leader that took a so-so team to play for a title and was a beast.
Jeffries would likely have averaged more than his 13-14ppg on a different team but he had Fife, Coverdale and Hornsby draining 3s all day long. JJ also had Newton helping inside. JJ was a great all around player at 6’10”-6’11” because he could not only score inside and rebound, he could block/alter shots, he had a good handle for a guy his size and he was, IMO, one of the best passing big men we’ve ever had. And don’t forget how good Moye was on those teams. JJ had a damn good crew around him.
