State of emergency in Carolinas as wildfires burn

Over 4200 acres. At least 175 active fired so far. Scary to see fires burning anytime, but especially this time of the year.

Hopefully they can get things under control without too much loss of property and obviously lives. Evacuations underway.

I assume this won't become political like the California fires. Fact is wildfires can hit many states with significant amounts of wilderness.

Indiana has wildfires every year. It's not the fires, it's the preventative measures to maintain their size, before they start, that are important.

They do although I think what has been different in both these fires and California is they are happening in the Winter. These fires are usually much more limited to hot and dry summer months.

Pine forests are supposed to burn. It’s why controlled burns are so important….if you want to donate to a cause that would be a good one
